‘Birds of a Feather’ reboot confirmed for 2nd January

The reboot of 90s UK sitcom Birds Of A Feather has had its official airing date confirmed by ITV.

The first episode of the show, last seen on our screens on BBC One in 1998, has been scheduled for a prime-time 8.30pm slot on 2nd January.

Linda Robson, Pauline Quirke and Lesley Joseph have been confirmed to reprise their original roles of Sharon, Tracey and Dorian, with the first episode ‘Gimme Shelter’ sees Sharon living back in her council flat with Tracey still in Chigwell with younger son Travis.

The announcement combines with ITV’s confirmation that a sixth season of hit show Benidorm will follow Birds Of A Feather, starting at 9pm.

‘The Big Reunion’ cover Wizzard’s ‘I Wish It Could Be Christmas, Everyday’

The stars of ITV2’s hit show The Big Reunion have unveiled their cover of Wizzard’s festive classic I Wish It Could Be Christmas, Everyday.

The video sees cast-members B*Witched, 5ive, Atomic Kitten, The Honeyz, 911 and Liberty X having fun in the studio whilst recording the track, of which proceeds of sales are to go to ITV’s annual Text Santa appeal. The appeal provides charity support to a host of UK charities – Age UK, Barnardo’s, BeatBullying, British Heart Foundation, CLIC Sargent and Help the Hospices.

Justin Bieber has unveiled the official video to his latest single All That Matters.

The track, the latest offshoot from Bieber’s #MusicMondays series of new material, continues the singer’s strive for more a more mature sound, and whilst we’re no way the biggest of advocates for the star here, we have to applaud him for the fresh (yet somewhat old-school) sound he’s projecting with this cut.

Rita Ora added to cast of ’50 Shades of Grey’ movie

According to recent reports from The Hollywood Reporter, British singer Rita Ora has been cast in the upcoming movie adaptation of hit novel 50 Shades of Grey. According to the site, Ora has been cast as Mia, the adopted younger sister of lead character Christian Grey (played by Jamie Dornan).

Ora took to Twitter earlier on to confirm the casting, saying:

50 Shades of Grey, based on EL James’ popular series of erotic novels, is set to hit cinemas on 13th February 2015.

As teased over the weekend, Sam Smith has premiered his new single Money On My Mind.

The track, unveiled on Zane Lowe’s BBC Radio 1 show this evening, is set for a late-January release and is the first cut from Smith’s forthcoming album set to drop next May. We recently tipped Sam Smith as one of our ’14 for 2014: Ones To Watch’, and with sounds like this, it’s hardly surprising why he deserves all accreditation.
