Beyonce’s ‘Drunk In Love’ and ‘Blow’ to be released as singles simultaneously next week?
Less than 24 hours ago, the music world was shocked when Beyonce surprised everyone and unveiled, and released, her new album to the masses. It wasn’t just the sheer shock-factor that a new album had been made available, it was more that it appeared without any singles in support, no PR, no label announcements, and, in an age where album leaks are every-day occurrences, not even the hint of a track appeared online prior. Additionally, to make it even more ‘special’, Beyonce unveiled the album with a full feature-length visual for EVERY SINGLE TRACK, including three special videos.
All in, it truly is a marvel of the power of Beyonce, and the reason why less than 24 hours after release, the self-titled LP is sitting at No 1 in the iTunes Album Charts in over 77 countries! A true world-first.
However, getting down to business, it’s widely-known that the main purpose of singles is to aid an album’s sales, so it comes as no surprise that Camp Beyonce are readying official singles to support the LP.
According to Billboard, sources close to the publication have strongly pointed that next week will see two singles be released off Beyonce’s album simultaneously. The first, Drunk In Love, which features Beyonce’s iconic rapping husband Jay Z (and also sequels the duos 2003 mega-hit Crazy In Love) will be closely followed by Blow, produced by Pharrell Williams.
It’s then widely expected that ballad XO, written by OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder alongside The-Dream will follow in 2014 as the first release next year.

New music: Michael Jackson – ‘A Place With No Name’
A few weeks after Michael Jackson’s untimely passing in June 2009, a 25-second clip of a track, titled A Place With No Name surfaced online.
The track, which used heavy samples from America’s classic hit A Horse With No Name, sounded ‘pure Jacko’ when the teaser was unveiled, and fans have been waiting impatiently for the full track to premiere.
Well wait no longer, the song is here, in its full glory! The source of the leak is still unknown and it also doesn’t ‘feel’ like a fully-polished piece of studio work, however it’s GOLD!

Eminem and Rihanna unveil ‘The Monster’ video trailer
Eminem has premiered the full trailer for his forthcoming official visual to Rihanna-collaboration, The Monster.
The date for the full video’s release has not been confirmed, however if regular patterns are to follow, we should expect the visual to be unleashed [hopefully] this Monday evening (Eminem’s previous Berzerk and Rap God videos were both premiered on Mondays).

New music: Nina Sky – ‘Overtime’
US twins Nina Sky have premiered what’s likely to be the first cut of their new material, in Overtime.
The track, available as a free download, is the first piece of new material from the duo since 2012’s Nicole and Natalie.

New music: Jessie Ware – ‘True Believers’
After originally being unveiled at her live Dallas show back in October, the studio version of a new Jessie Ware track, True Believers, has surfaced online.
Whilst it hasn’t been confirmed yet, it’s likely the soulful True Believers could be the first cut from the anticipated follow-up to her hugely-successful 2012 debut album Devotion.

Wireless Festival announce 2014 dates in London and Birmingham
Organisers of the annual Wireless Festival have confirmed the dates for the 2014 event, along with the addition of duplicating the event in the West Midlands.
The 2014 three-day festival, will take place on 4th-6th July, with artists at the London event also performing on different days up in Birmingham. It’s likely last year’s London base of Olympic Park will also change to Finsbury Park, whilst a Birmingham venue has yet to be announced.
Tickets are set to go on sale in January from Live Nation.
Beyonce’s new self-titled album hits No 1 in over 77 countries
Beyonce’s imaginatively titled new album, Beyonce, has hit the iTunes number one chart position in over 77 countries, less than twelve hours upon its initial announcement and associated release.
The announcement caught fans, and press, off guard at just after 6am UK time, with the web going into overdrive globally upon its unveiling, particularly because various sources had pointed at the announcement of a single in December with a full LP following in 2014.
Whilst no new single preceded the album’s launch, according to Billboard, two tracks are set to be announced next week in different formats. Additionally, it’s understood that iTunes have the full exclusive for one week, with further formats (and retailers) being eligible to sell the album after this period.

New music: Disclosure ft Sam Smith – ‘Latch’ (DJ Premier remix)
Disclosure have streamed the stunning DJ Premier remix of their anthemic Latch (featuring Sam Smith).
Premier’s reworking of the track is taken from the British dance duo’s forthcoming remix album Settle: Special Edition, out next week.
