Kid Cudi has ‘done a Beyonce’ and unleashed new music totally out the blue.
Satellite Flight is the first cut from the melodic rapper’s upcoming new EP Satellite Flight: The Journey to Mother Moon. Little is known about the new EP at this stage, but by the sounds of the first piece of music, we’re not going to be disappointed.

Eminem and Rihanna have premiered the official video to collaborative single The Monster.
The video for the track, the second release from Eminem’s latest studio album The Marshall Mathers LP 2, sees a sharply-dressed Rihanna role-play as a psychiatrist to patient (Eminem) who’s in the process of battling his inner demons (aka the ‘monster’ in the song’s lyrics).
The unveiling of the video follows a mere few weeks after the premiere of Eminem’s video to Rap God, from the same album.

Following the unveiling of Robin Thicke & Jessie J-featuring Calling All Hearts earlier this month, DJ Cassidy has premiered the full trailer for the track along with more featured information regarding his forthcoming debut album.
After 2013’s [fortunately] surprising resurgence of disco, it looks like 2014 is set to continue this theme, with Cassidy’s as-yet-untitled LP, utilising some of the tools, and the greats, in a bid to replicate the sounds of the late 1970s/early 1980s.
Speaking to Rolling Stone, Cassidy says of the project, “Four years ago, I set out on a mission to bring the greatest and most universal dance music of all time back to the airwaves, back to nightlife, back to the dance floor”. The project is sure to live up to that mission, with Cassidy recruiting everyone from the likes of the aforementioned Jessie and Thicke, to legendary hitmaker Nile Rodgers to Michael Jackson’s horn and string arranger Jerry Hey and multiple members of Earth, Wind & Fire, all featuring on Calling All Hearts.
The full album is set to land next May, however take a listen to the single below, followed by the full trailer / making-of. 2014 is shaping up to be an exciting year for music fans.
Disclosure have premiered the ‘Harry Heard Fingers Chillout Mix’ of Settle album track, Help Me Lose My Mind.
The track falls part of the British dance duo’s release of remix album Settle: Special Edition and adds a wonderful subversive undertone to London Grammar’s Hannah Reid’s powerful vocals.

Following the unveiling of the lyric video some time ago, James Blunt has premiered the official visual to new single Heart To Heart.
Blunt has risen in terms of notoriety over the past few months, rising as one of the kings of Twitter comedy, providing humorous responses to negative backlash and torment the You’re Beautiful singer has unfortunately amassed over the years.
Fortunately though, his new material in Moon Landing, the follow-up to 2010’s Some Kind of Trouble, is pretty good!

Further to the unveiling of the associated lyric video almost a month ago, Dizzee Rascal has premiered the official visual to new single Bang Bang.
The track, taken from the rapper’s latest album The Fifth, hears Dizzee back to his best, spitting some CRAZY bars over a pretty twisted beat.

The official trailer for forthcoming Michael Jackson documentary Remembering Michael, has aired.
The documentary, funded by Jackson’s mother Katherine, sees Michael’s immediate family, in particular his three children Prince Michael, Paris and Prince Michael II (commonly known as ‘Blanket’) open up to life without the loved pop icon.
Jackson died on 25th June 2009 following an overdose of Propofol, administered by personal physician Dr Conrad Murray.

The single is the third cut off Thicke’s massively successful latest album Blurred Lines, whose title-track became one of the defining anthems of summer 2013 globally.

Beyonce’s surprise new self-titled album has broken iTunes sales records, it has been announced.
The album, unveiled on Friday to an unsuspecting global audience, has sold just under 830,000 copies globally via iTunes, the exclusive distributor of the record for the first week.
The album has earned the coveted title as the Fastest Selling Album ever on the iTunes store, and has so far hit the number one spot in over 100 countries on the iTunes Album Charts.
The album surprised everyone when it appeared at just past 6am on Friday (UK time), without any promotion, confirmed singles, or trailers, or even a release date, whilst fans were in for extra treats when they found out Beyonce’s new ‘visual’ LP included an official video for every track on the new release.
The first official singles are set to be announced this week; Drunk In Love (the follow-up to 2003’s Crazy In Love) is confirmed as the first lead release, whilst it’s widely expected that Blow will also be unveiled as a concurrent single with the former. The video for Drunk In Love has also now been unveiled on Beyonce’s YouTube channel (below)
Beyonce is set to bring a fresh set of dates to the UK as part of a renewed leg of her worldwide Mrs Carter Show tour; tickets went on general sale this morning, with a further two nights added due to overwhelming demand (not least spurred on by the excitement of the new album’s release last week). Sam Smith’s highly anticipated debut album has finally been given a name, and a trailer to mark the occasion too.
The album, confirmed for release on 26th May (how far off does THAT sound?), is to be titled In The Lonely Hour, preceded by new single Money On My Mind in the new year.
