New music: Disclosure team up with young rapper Bishop Nehru on ‘You Stressin’

Disclosure have teamed up with young US rapper Bishop Nehru for new track You Stressin’.

Premiered earlier this evening on BBC Radio 1, the track has earned the coveted title of being Zane Lowe’s ‘Hottest Record’, and goes to show how made-for-other-genres Disclosure’s beats can be.

George Ezra took to Fearne Cotton’s Radio 1 Live Lounge earlier today, unveiling OneRepublic’s mammoth hit Counting Stars as his Live Lounge Cover of choice.

Reworking the track slightly to suit Ezra’s folky-tones, we’re not sure if the end result fully works, particularly surprising due to Ezra’s wonderful vocal abilities, however let us know your thoughts below:

Lily Allen premieres lyric video for new single ‘Air Balloon’

Lily Allen has premiered the lyric video for forthcoming single Air Balloon.

The track, set for release in March, is the second piece of new music Allen has unveiled from her forthcoming as-yet-untitled third studio album, and marks a slightly differing approach from previous single Hard Out Here.

Video premiere: Kwabs – ‘Wrong or Right’

Rising artist (and one of our very own 14 for 2014: Ones To Watch) Kwabs has premiered the official visual to his stunning new single Wrong or Right.

The song, the title track from Kwabs’ highly-anticipated 4-track EP, is due for release on 3rd February (including his previous releases Last Stand, Spirit Fade and the Ben Pearce remix of Wrong or Right).

New music: Craig David remixes Chris Brown’s ‘Loyal’

Craig David has premiered his remix of Chris Brown’s latest unveiling, Loyal (ft French Montana & Lil Wayne).

The remix, which sees Craig throwing down his soulful harmonies across the rap/trap beat, is somewhat impressive, though still leaves us pining for a ‘true’ follow-up to the British singer’s groundbreaking debut Born To Do It.

New music: Duck Sauce premiere ‘Duck Droppings’ EP

Duck Sauce, the house duo made up of Armand Van Helden and A-Trak (and responsible for 2010’s anthemic Barbara Streisand) have premiered their long-awaited Duck Droppings EP. What’s more, the 4-track release has been unveiled as a free download.

With the new EP taking a more disco-house spin, (and with second track Louis The First featuring a prominent sample of Hot Chocolate’s Brother Louie), Duck Droppings is one EP that’s a must for any collection.

Sophie Ellis-Bextor has premiered a new track, Wrong Side Of The Sun, taken from her recently-released new album Wanderlust.

Unveiled earlier today on Ellis-Bextor’s official YouTube channel, Wrong Side Of The Sun is one of the eleven tracks on the singer’s fifth studio LP which follows her PR stint as a finalist on the previous series of hit TV show Strictly Come Dancing.

Disclosure took to US TV show Late Night With Jimmy Fallon last night, bringing wonderkid Sam Smith along for a live rendition of 2013 hit Latch.

The Disclosure brothers are currently in the midst of their US promotional run, putting out all the stops to drive further traction for their phenomenal debut LP Settle, and seem to be attracting some high-profile fans along the way – no less than soul queen Mary J Blige who joined them onstage at NYC nightspot Terminal 5 on Sunday evening for a live rendition of F For You.

The Vamps premiere ‘Wild Heart’ acoustic video

The Vamps have premiered an acoustic performance of new single Wild Heart, filmed as part of the rising group’s SBTV A64 session.

The four-piece band, who have collaborated with Pixie Lott for their first official release, are currently riding on a heavy promotion trail at the moment and are expecting to hit the Top 20 next week.

New music: George Ezra – ‘Cassy O’

With his new Cassy O EP almost ready to drop (landing mid-March), rising British folk singer George Ezra, who finished fifth in the BBC’s Sound of 2014, took to Zane Lowe’s BBC Radio 1 show last night to unveil the title track.

Cassy O (the track) is sheer proof as to why Ezra deserves the BBC accolade; he’s an exciting prospect to the new sounds that are starting to seep through the cracks in the UK youth market. Here’s to hearing the rest of the EP. Cassy O is set for release on 16th March, however those who preorder will receive the title track as an instant download.
