The 1975 to headline Glasgow Summer Sessions 2019

Organisers of Glasgow Summer Sessions have announced The 1975 as their third headliners for 2019.

Set to take place on 25 August 2019, the Manchester pop-rockers join the already-announced Foo Fighters and The Cure at outdoor gigs taking place at Glasgow’s Bellahouston Park.

The quartet are currently gearing up for the release of their third studio album ‘A Brief Inquiry into Online Relationships’, set to land this Friday. A follow-up record, titled ‘Notes on a Conditional Form’ will drop in Spring 2019.

Swedish House Mafia to headline Creamfields 2019

Swedish House Mafia have been confirmed to headline Creamfields 2019.

Announced by Creamfields earlier today, the reveal follows fan-suspicion after a sneaky update on the Creamfields website showed SHM’s synonymous 3-dot logo flashing on the homepage.

Last week, Axwell confirmed to Radio 1’s Annie Mac that the trio were planning to return to the UK next summer, following the recent reveal of their May 2019 live show in Stockholm.

UPDATE: Creamfields have confirmed Swedish House Mafia’s appearance will mark the trio’s only UK show for 2019.

Tickets for Creamfields 2019, which runs across the August Bank Holiday weekend (22-25) are onsale now.

Mark Ronson teases new single ‘Nothing Breaks Like A Heart’, featuring Miley Cyrus

Mark Ronson has announced his first solo work since 2015’s ‘Uptown Special’, teaming up with Miley Cyrus for his new single ‘Nothing Breaks Like A Heart’.

Set for release this Friday (30th November), the song comes off the back of Mark’s recent tie-up with Diplo as Silk City (a project that will still likely continue as Ronson readies his forthcoming new record).

Grab a listen to the quick teaser below; both Ronson and Miley are scheduled to give the UK’s first live performance of the song on BBC’s The Graham Norton Show on 7th December. One week later (15th December), the duo will then take the track to US TV on NBC’s Saturday Night Live.

The 1975 delivered their first live radio performance in almost 18 months today (26th November), celebrating the release of their forthcoming new record with an appearance on Radio 1’s Live Lounge.

Performing three songs from their new album, ‘A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships’ (which lands Friday), the band also delivered their own rendition of Ariana Grande’s recent single ‘thank u, next‘.

Craig David announces summer 2019 UK outdoor tour

Craig David has announced a run of outdoor gigs for 2019, as he closes out a successful year which saw the Southampton-born singer release his seventh studio album, ‘The Time Is Now’.

Kicking off in Cheltenham on 24 May, Craig will then tour the country with shows in Powderham, Colchester and Dundee, before concluding up in Peterborough on 8 June 2019. Support will come from Sigala, Becky Hill and Nathan Dawe.

BRIT Awards 2019 announced; Jack Whitehall to return as host

BRIT Awards organisers have detailed plans for 2019, with Jack Whitehall confirmed to return.

Announced via the official BRITs socials moments ago, Whitehall’s appearance as host follows last month’s reveal that acclaimed British-Ghanaian architect Sir David Adjaye OBE will design the 2019 statue, in partnership with Czech glassmaking and design firm LASVIT.

The BRIT Awards 2019 will take place on Wednesday 20th February at London’s O2 Arena. Watch the announcement below:

Described earlier this month by Green as a track “about wishing for the photos we can no longer take”, the release of the song spurred a huge outpouring of emotion on Twitter, with fans sharing their pictures of loved ones who had since tragically departed.

Disney executives have released the first official teaser-trailer for the new live-action remake of ‘The Lion King’.

Featuring James Earl Jones who returns to voice Mufasa 25 years on from the 1994 animated original, the movie also spans a star-studded cast which includes the likes of Beyonce (Nala), Donald Glover (Simba) and John Oliver (Zazu) among others.
