Listen: James Morrison shares ‘My Love Goes On’ (ft Joss Stone)

James Morrison has announced his return with his new album ‘You’re Stronger Than You Know’.

Set for release in March, the project comes preceded by ‘My Love Goes On’, the first single from the record which features assistance from Joss Stone.

Morrison has also announced plans to support the album with a UK tour which will see him perform shows in Norwich, Bexhill, Bristol, Manchester, Glasgow and Birmingham. He will also play a headline date at London’s O2 Shepherds Bush Empire on 27th March.

Hear Jade Bird’s solid new single ‘I Get No Joy’

Jade Bird has announced her new single ‘I Get No Joy’.

Following on from the success of last year’s heavily-playlisted ‘Love Has All Been Done Before’, the youngster’s new one comes ahead of her self-titled debut album, due out in April.

“This song is about the stream of thought that runs through your head at all times as an over thinker” says Jade of her latest single – “It’s about how that gets in the way of being present in the moment and ultimately ‘getting no joy’ and about the frustration of everyone’s cliche of happiness not making you feel fulfilled either.”

Little Mix announced for BRIT Awards 2019 performance

Little Mix have been announced as the first performers for this year’s BRIT Awards, marking the group’s return to the ceremony for the first time since 2017.

Set to hit London’s O2 Arena on 20th February, the band’s appearance comes days after the BRITs nominations reveal, which saw the four-piece in the running for two awards – Video Of The Year for ‘Woman Like Me’ and Best British group.

The BRIT Awards 2019 ceremony will once again be fronted by Jack Whitehall, whilst Clara Amfo and Alice Levine will be back to host the Red Carpet show. The main ceremony will be broadcast live on ITV1 in the UK.

New US show rules Paul McCartney out of Glastonbury 2019

An extension of Paul McCartney’s US tour has effectively ruled out him out of a highly-rumoured headline appearance at this summer’s Glastonbury Festival.

In a press release earlier today (15th January), McCartney confirmed an extra performance at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas as part of his US ‘Freshen Up’ tour. The 29th June show (alongside dates either side) will be in support of last year’s ‘Egypt Station’ LP.

The former member of The Beatles was expected to return to Worthy Farm to close Glastonbury 2019 on the final day – Sunday 30th June – and whilst it would be *technically* possible to fly from Vegas to the UK in time, there leaves only a short window (a matter of hours) for any delays, issues etc once time-difference has been taken into account. It would be highly likely neither McCartney nor Glastonbury organisers would want to take that chance. His last Glastonbury Festival appearance was back in 2004.

The past six months has seen both The Cure and Paul McCartney high up as bookies’ favourites to take a coveted headline slot; so far Stormzy marks the only headliner confirmed for the Pyramid Stage (Friday 28th June). Janelle Monae was recently announced as one of the West Holts headliners, whilst Kylie Minogue will make her long-awaited solo debut as the Sunday Afternoon ‘legend’.

Glastonbury 2019 returns on 26th June.

Field Day announce 2019 line-up, ft Skepta, Jorja Smith, Diplo and more

Skepta and Jorja Smith have been announced as this year’s Field Day headliners, organisers have confirmed.

Revealed as a homecoming gig for the Tottenham-born MC, Skepta’s appointment will mark Field Day’s debut showcase at their new north London venue, round the corner at Enfield’s Meridian Water. The event will also see Smith’s first time at Field Day, whilst also being her first ever UK festival headline performance too.

Diplo, The Black Madonna, Modeselektor, Jungle, Pusha T, Earl Sweatshirt and Octavian are just some of the first-wave of acts set to join Skepta and Jorja across the 7/8 June weekend.

“This really is a new and exciting chapter” says Field Day co-founder Tom Baker – “our new home is arguably one of the most dynamic sites in the country, with a line up that is typically eclectic and diverse as ever before.
