Lifted off last year’s ‘Queen’ LP, the clip marks the first visual from Minaj since September’s ‘Barbie Dreams’, and comes ahead of her forthcoming UK tour which kicks off in March.

Hear Austin Ato and Brushy One String connect for ‘Oh Mama’
Austin Ato has teamed up with Jamaican reggae artist Brushy One String for his new single ‘Oh Mama’.
Appearing as his debut on Defected, ‘Oh Mama’ is a stripped-back release compared to some of Ato’s earlier work (2015’s ‘Dreams‘ still bangs hard FYI) – this time the Scottish producer allows space for the folky qualities of Brushy One String’s voice, whilst underpinning the vocals with warm acoustic tones of a double bass line. Expect a dub edit (with added sax) to follow over the coming weeks.

Edinburgh Summer Sessions reveal 2019 headliners
Florence and The Machine, The Courteeners and Primal Scream are just some of the names confirmed to headline this August’s Edinburgh Summer Sessions.
Kicking off the proceedings with a double-performance, Florence will take to Princes Street Gardens on 7th & 8th August. Primal Scream then headline on the 10th, joined by special guest Johnny Marr. The following day will see CHVRCHES perform, with James headlining the next session on 15th August. Madness will close Edinburgh Summer Sessions on Sunday 18th.

Hear Octo Octa’s stunning tech-laden ‘I Need You’
Octo Octa, aka NYC-based DJ/producer Maya Bouldry-Morrison, has announced her new ‘For Lovers’ EP.
Set for release in March, the project comes preceded by the simply-stunning lead joint, ‘I Need You’, a song which perfectly continues the story of last year’s excellent ‘Devotion’ EP.
The song, which will open ‘For Lovers’, has been described as “a bold declaration regarding [Octo Octa’s] need for love during a delicate time of rapid change”. Written on an extended tour spent alone, this radiant breakbeat love letter is the first vocal performance Maya has recorded in many years, and the first since her gender transition. It features the voice of a woman who has been through an intense personal struggle, and through that process come to a place of understanding that she is not alone. That the people in her life – her friends, her family, and her polyamorous lovers – are, and have been, essential to her process of self-acceptance and becoming.

Reading & Leeds Festivals expand 2019 lineup
Reading & Leeds Festival organisers have announced a wealth of new acts for 2019, following the reveal of headliners Foo Fighters, The 1975, Twenty One Pilots and Post Malone back in November.
Royal Blood will return to both sites for the first time since 2015, whilst additional new names include Mura Masa, Charli XCX, CHVRCHES and You Me At Six. Meanwhile Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes and Anderson .Paak and The Free Nationals will play UK festival-exclusive sets at both events.
Festival favourites Circa Waves will also be returning, whilst this summer’s R&L (which runs over the August bank holiday weekend) will also see a debut appearance from No Rome, label-mate to The 1975. Additional acts on the revised roster include US DJ Honey Dijon, as well as Andy C, Becky Hill, Headie One, Slowthai and Twin Atlantic.

Watch Billie Eilish’s haunting new video for ‘bury a friend’
Billie Eilish has announced her anticipated debut album, ‘WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO?’.
Set for release in March, the project marks the youngster’s first broader collection since her 2017 EP ‘Don’t Smile at Me’, and comes preceded by all-new song, ‘bury a friend’.
Released alongside a haunting new visual, ‘bury a friend’ was written by Eilish herself, and co-produced alongside her elder brother Finneas O’Connell (responsible for a vast majority of Billie’s own work).
“When we made ‘bury a friend,’ the whole album clicked in my head,” Billie explains. “I immediately knew what it was going to be about, what the visuals were going to be, and everything in terms of how I wanted it to be perceived. It inspired what the album is about. ‘bury a friend’ is literally from the perspective of the monster under my bed. If you put yourself in that mindset, what is this creature doing or feeling?…I also confess that I’m this monster, because I’m my own worst enemy. I might be the monster under your bed too.”

Galantis have joined forces with OneRepublic for their surprise new single ‘Bones’.
Set to kick-start an “exciting new era” for the Swedish dance hitmakers, Galantis’ Christian Karlsson said: “It was an incredible experience working with OneRepublic and Ryan on this song. He has such a legendary voice and we’ve always been big fans of his songwriting, so connecting with him on ‘Bones’ came so naturally to us. This is the first Galantis music of 2019 and we can’t wait to show you what else we’ve been working on!”
