Lizzo announces London & Manchester 2019 shows

Lizzo has announced plans to perform two intimate UK shows in early-summer.

Set to take to Manchester’s Gorilla and London’s Kentish Town Forum on 26/27th May, the singer’s appearances will come just over a month on from the release of her forthcoming album ‘Cuz I Love You’, which will feature last month’s impeccable ‘Juice‘.

Architects among new acts added to All Points East 2019 line-up

Architects have been added to this summer’s All Points East.

Joining a day that has been curated by headliners Bring Me The Horizon, the metallers’ name on the expanded line-up also comes alongside added announcements of Alice Glass, While She Sleeps and Employed to Serve. They will join the already-announced Run The Jewels, Nothing But Thieves, IDLES, Scarlxrd and Yonaka on 31st May.

The new additions mark the latest announcement for the 10-day event, which will run in East London’s Victoria Park from 24th May until 2nd June.

Previous All Points East announcements have also confirmed headliners The Chemical Brothers for Friday 24 May, Christine and the Queens for Sunday 26 May 2019, and Bon Iver for Sunday 2 June 2019.

Stefflon Don and Ms Dynamite to headline 2019’s Strawberries & Creem

Stefflon Don, Ms Dynamite and Sean Kingston have been announced as headliners for 2019’s Strawberries and Creem in Cambridge.

Set to hit Haggis Farm on 15th June, the annual festival has quickly become renowned for its feel-good lineups since its launch back in 2014. 2019’s edition will see additional appearances from the likes of Mahalia, WSTRN, Flava D and Kevin Little.

Meanhwhile, garage-heads won’t be disappointed either, with notable UKG acts including Artful Dodger, Heartless Crew, Shola Ama and Sweet Female Attitude confirmed. DJ sets from Flava D, as well as Heidi, Eli & Fur will head up Strawberries & Creem’s house and techno selectors.

Angel Haze has announced her return to the UK live scene, detailing several city shows as part of her wider European tour.

Confirmed as the US artist’s first performances on UK soil since 2017, the shows will likely see Haze perform fan-favourite tracks from her excellent first two albums ‘Dirty Gold’ and ‘Back To The Woods’; we would assume new music will also be showcased too.

Jungle’s excellent ‘Heavy, California‘ has received a polished tech-laden remix courtesy of German DJ/producer Gerd Janson.

Initially lifted off Jungle’s sophomore record, ‘For Ever’, released back in September. Janson’s new edit takes things into an uplifting-tech dancefloor environment. Whereas the original slickly delivers for the party, this new rework (dubbed the MPC Translation mix) slots firmly to the post-3am raves.

SW4 announce second-wave 2019 line-up

South West Four organisers have announced the second wave of acts set to grace London’s Clapham Common this August.

Last month, SW4 revealed headliners Martin Garrix and The Prodigy will be joining Chase and Status on the Bank Holiday weekend; today, further names added now include legendary house don Armand Van Helden. He will be joined by the likes of Basement Jaxx, Wilkinson, Devlin and Ms Dynamite, whilst Shy FX and Casisdead will also add huge noise to the Sunday.

Craig David will take over the indoor main stage on the Saturday with his TS5 show, alongside James Hype, Mabel, Oliver Heldens, Yungen and Sigma.

Sunday 25 August will welcome The Prodigy, who celebrate the release of their No Tourists album with a headline slot on the Capital Main Stage. Andy C and TQD will also take to the stage on the second day.
Having headlined last year, Chase & Status return to Clapham Common to host their own RTRN II JUNGLE stage, while the Capital XTRA stage will welcome Wiley, Wretch 32 and Ms Banks.

Mariah Carey announces ‘Caution’ European tour dates

Mariah Carey has announced her return to the UK, with a three-day residency at London’s Royal Albert Hall as part of her forthcoming ‘Caution’ European Tour.

Set to also perform shows in Dublin, Paris, Hamburg, Amsterdam and Barcelona, Carey will take to the prestigious London venue on 25, 26 and 27th May, marking a trio of some of her most intimate performances to-date. The artist previously played at The O2 Arena last December for her ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ tour.

Boardmasters announce huge second-wave 2019 line-up

Boardmasters organisers have added the next batch of names to their 2019 line-up, revealing a wealth of new acts set to join previously-released headliner, Florence and The Machine.

First up, Foals have also been added as headliners, following the recent announcement of their live return this year. They will close Boardmasters on Sunday 11th August. Additional names include Plan B, Bugzy Malone, Mabel, Slaves, Dermot Kennedy and House Gospel Choir.

Meanwhile, the Boardmasters DJ roster also gains a thorough expansion too – new names added include Prospa, Karen Harding, Weiss, Mele, DJ Barely Legal, My Nu Leng, and Eli Brown.

Mark Ronson has shared his Apple Music-exclusive ‘Club Heartbreak’ playlist, celebrating some of the most iconic ‘sad bangers’ over the past few decades.

Curated by Ronson, the name of the playlist aligns with his own ‘Club Heartbreak’ clubnight, which has been running alongside the creation of his forthcoming album ‘Late Night Feelings’ “Club Heartbreak is a club night me and my friends starting doing while I was creating my new album” he says – “It’s a place for people to come and let loose to our favourite melancholy dance tunes — or sad bangers. It had a big influence on my new album too. Here’s a playlist of some of my favourite ones. Enjoy. Dance. Cry. Do your thing.”
