After heating things up at Worthy Farm back in 2017, Boom Sound Records have announced their Glastonbury return, hitting up Shangri-La for a killer line-up in 2019.
Featuring the likes of Jus Now, Eva Lazarus and Kiko Bun, this year’s Boom Sound will once again take to Glastonbury’s ‘Naughty Corner’ on opening night – Thursday 27th June.

Stormzy has spoken out about his upcoming headline slot at Glastonbury in a new interview with Radio 1.
Chatting to the station’s Annie Mac and Nick Grimshaw (29th April), the Croydon MC reverted on how he felt when he found out he had achieved the coveted slot at the festival, alongside discussing how much the moment, and the stage means to him.

Maribou State have announced their upcoming ‘Kingdoms In Colour Remixed’ album, reconnecting with Khruangbin for a remix of the lead single – ‘Feel Good’.
Aptly titled by the US trio who joined Maribou State on the track’s original, Khruangbin’s ‘A Well Nice Version’ remix hears ‘Feel Good’ revert more toward a trip-hop/dub stance, and will join additional remixes on the forthcoming record, courtesy of HAAi, Mano Le Tough, Skinny Pelembe, Juju & Jordash and Mount Liberation Unlimited. Previously released remixes from Maceo Plex, Adesse Versions, and DJ Tennis will also feature.

BANKS has returned with her hypnotic new single, ‘Gimme’.
Premiered as Zane Lowe’s recent World Record on Apple’s Beats 1, the song comes as a collaboration between BANKS, Buddy Ross (Frank Ocean, HAIM) and Hudson Mohawke – ‘Gimme’ also mark’s the first piece of new music from the singer since 2017’s ‘Underdog’.

Skepta has announced his long-awaited new album, ‘Ignorance Is Bliss’.
Set for release on 31st May, Skepta’s new record – his fifth full length studio project – will follow on from 2016’s Mercury Prize-winning ‘Konnichiwa’. ‘Ignorance Is Bliss’ will feature 13 new songs.

The final allocation of tickets for this year’s Glastonbury Festival have sold out in quick time once again as festival goers pinned their last hopes on today’s resale.
A “limited” amount of tickets became available at 9am this morning, quickly snapped up (in under 15 minutes) by fans looking to grace Glastonbury this coming June.

Earlier in the week, the remaining ticket+coach passes sold out in just under 22 minutes. For those who were unsuccessful in both sales, all eyes will now be on those rare ‘secret sales’ that seem to crop up with limited fanfare.

Newcomer Marie White has beaten stiff competition to become the winner of 2019’s Glastonbury Emerging Talent Competition.
Announced earlier this evening (27th April), White’s success in the competition meant she walked away with a £5,000 PRS Foundation grant, alongside a confirmed appearance on one of Glastonbury’s main stages later this summer.
A total of eight acts were part of the running for the annual competition, all selected by Glastonbury judges from a longlist of 90 artists, compiled by some of the best UK online writers.
Previous ETC winners include Josh Barry, Declan McKenna and She Drew The Gun.

Following their appearance on the initial line-up poster back in March, Bastille have confirmed they will be playing the Pyramid Stage for the first time when they return to Glastonbury Festival this summer.
Marking their first appearance at the festival since 2016’s show on The Other Stage, Bastille’s Dan Smith confirmed the Pyramid Stage news during a recent chat with BBC Music’s Mark Savage.
During his interview, where Smith also spoke about the band’s upcoming album ‘Doom Days’, the singer revealed that Lauryn Hill, who was originally speculated to perform on West Holts, will indeed be following Bastille on the main stage. Both acts will take to the stage on Friday, 28th June, ahead of Stormzy’s headline show. “We’re trying to put together a show that’s quite different and interesting and fun for people to watch” said Dan, adding “If we’re playing [the Pyramid Stage], we’re going to do it properly. But I’m also really excited about it being over so I can watch Lauryn Hill, who’s on after us, and then Stormzy – which is going to be something else.”
Glastonbury resale coach passes sold out within 25 minutes on Thursday, with a limited number of general-release tickets set to go onsale this coming Sunday, 28th April.
Stormzy has returned with new music, his first full-length track since his 2017 debut album ‘Gang Signs and Prayer’.
Titled ‘Vossi Bop’, and inspired by 2015’s viral dance from NL Vossi, the track comes almost three years on since its initial tease, and is expected to lead the charge for the Croydon-born MC’s forthcoming second album, due out later this year.
The song’s video, which you can watch below, shows Stormz performing across multiple London landmarks, including the London Eye/Westminster Bridge and the Bank Of England.
Describing the track, the MC told Beats 1’s Julie Adenuga “I met Vossi on the internet. He went to get Supermalt, he was on his way back, and he was just dancing to this song. But it was just so infectious, and such a genuine joyous moment that for whatever reason, I went studio a couple weeks later, and I made this song called “Vossi Bop.” But this is like three years ago; 2016 I made this song. Or 2015. And yeah, I just had the spirit of Vossi in me. I think it just embodies everything that I’m about. The confidence, the humour, the style, the flair, the anarchy, the chaos, just the vibe. All of these things, I was like, “This is me embodied.”
