Snakehips announce June 2017 Kentish Town Forum show

Snakehips have announced their first major London show of the year, hitting the O2 Kentish Town Forum in June.

Teased alongside ‘special guests’, the show announcement follows the lads’ recent MO-collaboration Don’t Leave, released last month as a precursor to their anticipated debut album.

Parklife 2017: Full line-up announced

Parklife will return to Manchester’s Heaton Park later this summer, with Frank Ocean now confirmed to headline following previous rumours toward the back end of last year.

Announced moments ago, Frank’s Heaton Park appearance will mark his first UK show in three years – back in November he was also confirmed as a London festival exclusive for Lovebox. Thus will take place one month later in July.

Alongside Ocean, Parklife organisers have also revealed a wealth of new names to the line-up; notable additions include The 1975, Boy Better Know, A Tribe Called Quest, Elrow, London Grammar, Mura Masa, Sampha, Dusky, Andy C, Loyle Carner and more.

Glastonbury 2017: The Orb self-confirm

With next year’s 30th anniversary fast-approaching, British electronic duo The Orb have become the latest act to self-confirm their appearance at 2017’s Glastonbury Festival.

Speaking to Irish News last week, founding member Alex Paterson revealed the duo’s plans for the year, including a trip to Worthy Farm. “We’ve got some more European gigs in March and then we’re doing [Chill Out World] in its entirety at the Royal Albert Hall in London” he said, adding “After that I think we’ll be dropping the whole of Ultraworld once we do this special thing on the Thursday night at Glastonbury.”

Further info from eFestivals also transpires the duo will be bringing their set to Glastonbury’s ‘The Glade’, but this remains unconfirmed.

After sharing the visuals for Castle On The Hill last week, Ed Sheeran has now unveiled the official video for his current UK No.1, Shape Of You both tracks lifted off his upcoming third studio album Divide, out in March.

Alongside the clip, Ed has recently announced a wealth of UK tour dates including two nights at London’s O2 Arena, tickets for all shows which go on sale this coming Thursday, 2nd February. Check the full tour schedule below, alongside the Shape Of You visual too:

Drake kicked off the European leg of his Boy Meets World tour in Amsterdam last night, previewing a brand new collaboration with Giggs ahead of the release of his new More Life playlist (rumoured to land next month).

Though untitled, we wouldn’t be surprised if Giggs made an impromptu appearance onstage when Drizzy finally takes the shows to London (which starts tomorrow, with a further seven nights at London’s O2 Arena over the course of February).

Glastonbury 2017: Wiley teases his return to Worthy Farm?

It looks like Wiley may have finally forgiven the weather gods, after dropping hints he’ll be returning to Worthy Farm for Glastonbury 2017.

For those not familiar with the story, Wiley went on a Twitter tirade against Glastonbury back in 2013, having already arrived on location to perform on second day though cancelling his appearance after his frustration at the rain.

However, a lot can happen in four years. A couple of weeks back, Wiley released some of his best work yet with his new Godfather LP (check it out here), off the back of which has led him to being added to several summer festival line-ups, including Leeds & Reading and Wild Life.

Now, whilst we’d never have expected him to return to Glasto, last night, the Bow MC shared ‘that’ infamous Radiohead picture on his Instagram, alongside tweeting “Can’t wait for @GlastoFest its gonna be sick”. So basically confirming that, come rain nor shine, he’ll be there (we’ll put our money on either Silver Hayes or West Holts).

Elderbrook may have made his mark by delivering the more subdued side of dub-electronica, however today he kicks off 2017 by speeding up the tempo slightly with the gorgeous First Time.

Released ahead of his headline show at XOYO in March, First Time drops at a time where even futuretronica is starting to sound ‘samey’, injecting a new lease of life into the field, and once again reminding us why the genre got us all excited in the first place.
