As Grammy fever hit LA last night, DJ Khaled dropped a brand new track called Shining, enlisting surprise guest vocals from Jay Z and Beyonce (and also marking the first time the Carter duo have appeared on anything together since 2013’s Drunk In Love).
Khaled’s five-month old kid Asahd also features on the artwork (though he’s also listed as exec producer too, so make of that what you will).

Ed Sheeran has announced his surprise return to the Grammy Awards stage tonight, joining the likes of The Weeknd, Beyonce, Daft Punk and Adele for what’s set to be one heck of a show.
Though his new music may have missed the boat for any nominations this year, Sheeran’s name is still in line for a gong following his co-write on Justin Bieber’s Love Yourself, currently up for Song Of The Year.

After being pulled from almost every streaming platform back in 2015 (bar TIDAL, that is), Prince’s entire discography is now back on the web for all to cherish.
Now no longer a TIDAL exclusive (Prince’s estate sued Roc Nation for counter-exclusivity following his shock death last year), the appearance of the artist’s music aligns timely with tonight’s Grammy Awards, where a tribute to the Purple One will be played out courtesy of Bruno Mars.
Alongside his existing music, two unreleased records will also be making their way later this year, including two concert films too. In a press release, Warner Bros’ CEO Cameron Strang said:
“Prince recorded his most influential and popular music during his time with Warner Bros. and we are deeply aware of our responsibility to safeguard and nurture his incredible legacy. Warner Bros. is thrilled to be able to bring Prince’s music to his millions of fans around the world via streaming services, fittingly on music’s biggest night. We’d like to thank Prince’s estate, Universal Music Publishing, the Grammy Awards and all of the streaming services for their great collaboration in making this landmark event possible
We’re also pleased to announce our plan to release the remaster of Prince’s most iconic album, Purple Rain, along with two incredible albums of previously unreleased Prince music and two complete concert films from the Paisley Park vault on June 9.
When we make any of Prince’s music available to fans – from the hits to unreleased gems – we are committed to upholding Prince’s high creative standards and we know fans will be thrilled when they hear these albums and see these films.”

Ed Sheeran was the musical guest on last night’s Saturday Night Live, bringing along a full band for his new Divide singles, Castle On The Hill and Shape Of You.
In what marked Ed’s first appearance to the Saturday Night Live stage in three years, the performance also gave cues into the potential shape of the singer’s forthcoming arena tour, specifically when it comes to being joined on the stage with other musicians and backing vocalists.

Frank Ocean has responded to negative comments about his 2013 Grammy Awards performance against the ceremony’s creative team Ken Ehrlich and David Wild.
In a Rolling Stone interview earlier this week, both Ehrlich and Wild spoke candidly about Frank’s decision not to perform at this year’s Grammy’s, whilst also criticising his 2013 performance of Forest Gump as “not great TV”.
Having stayed silent in a response for a while, Ocean took to his official channel to share some of his own opinions of the ceremony, including slamming The Grammys for awarding Album Of The Year to Taylor Swift’s 1989 versus Kendrick Lamar’s To Pimp a Butterfly.

Flume has abruptly announced the second companion EP for his 2016 project Skin, sharing a teaser of what seems like a new collaboration with Pusha T.
Aptly-titled Skin Companion EP II, the four-tracker serves as the follow-up to November’s first chapter, again itself a four-track project which included the mammoth Heater, initially previewed in Flume’s live shows during his Skin World Tour earlier in the year. Flume is certainly no stranger when it comes to working with MCs, but by the sounds of things, the new collection is taking a harder-hitting approach versus the Australian producer’s more airy beats.

Tchami returns for 2017 with Adieu, a post-3am joint that’s as moodily-progressive as it is lightweight and vocal. The track’s released on the Parisian native’s own Confession imprint, and marks a positive twist on the house scene which has itself seemed fairly convoluted of late.
Tchami’s releases may be few and far between, but when they exhube this kind of quality, it makes them that bit more special. Stream below; Adieu is the lead track from Tchami’s upcoming Prophecy LP, due out next month.
Following playing two of the biggest shows of his career at London’s Scala earlier this week, Zak Abel has shared all-new single Rock Bottom.
