Based just outside London, brotherly duo Everyone You Know have enlisted house supremo KDA for the remix of their new single ‘She Don’t Dance’.

Listed off their upcoming second EP, KDA’s new Everyone You Know edit follows in the footsteps of the producer’s early-summer belter ‘The Human Stone’, his rework on the Human League’s 1981 banger ‘The Sound of the Crowd’ and Angie Stone’s classic ‘I Wish I Didn’t Miss You’.

Listen: The Knocks share ‘No Requests’ / ‘New York Luau’

0

New York royalty The Knocks drop a dancefloor essential with their groove-filled single ‘No Requests’. Through the last couple years, the duo – consisting of B-Roc and JPatt – have knocked out scores of smooth edits and remixes that circle through elements of electronic, funk and indie pop, but enter back into the club scene with this DJ-focused 4/4 cut to work the floors.

Ramping up the house energy with attitude heavy vocals and filtered loops, The Knocks use smooth-edged acid lines to bring out even more dimension.

Alongside ‘No Requests’, The Knocks have also shared another funk-driven summer jam – ‘New York Luau’, complete with a wobbling bassline and Latin melody for a unique turn of events.

Shura has released a new remix of last month’s ‘religion (u can lay your hands on me)’.

Lifted off her forthcoming album ‘forevher’, due August 16th, the new edit comes courtesy of producer Gabe Gurnsey, which sees him add a breadth of oscillating beats and a club-driven tempo to the single.

“I’ve been a huge fan of Shura’s work since ‘Nothing’s Real’ so it was an honour to be asked to remix her latest single ‘Religion'” says Gurnsey. “Shura’s vocals alone are a dream element to have in the remix process and that coupled with the amazing textures and production that lie deep in her tracks have made working on this a massive pleasure. The vocal hook ‘Oh girl don’t stop ‘ was destined for the dance floor…”

Moving to London, producing two sell-out records with Mall Grab’s Steel City Dance Discs, and nailing mixes for Rinse, NTS and Boiler Room, made 2018 a landmark year for Australian-born producer and DJ Loods. Following his extensive touring across the UK and Europe, Loods has been working away in the studio to produce his Classic Music Company debut, making his blissful label outing with ‘Walking Away’.

A summer-ready sounding track with soft keys, a soulful vocal sample and lilting beat this is a record that you can expect to hear floating across dancefloors this summer and beyond. It’s already been given the green light from Annie Mac, so you know you’re in good hands.

Listen: Tourist shares new song, ‘Bunny’

0

Tourist’s sophomore album ‘Everyday’ may have only been released in February, but that hasn’t stopped the producer from making new beats.

Today, he delivers the first taste of his next chapter with the gorgeous ‘Bunny’. Continuing on the ethereal theme that made ‘Everyday’ so beautiful, ‘Bunny’ opens with a hazy ‘alt-warble’ vocal, before morphing us into a new, expansive world. Think along the lines of ‘George Fitzgerald meets The xx meets Jon Hopkins’, plus the added excellence of Tourist himself too, of course, and you’re some way toward understanding the journey you’re about to go on. ‘Bunny’ provides a soundtrack that can easily switch between Ibiza daytime to post-3am unwind.

Hear Mabel’s new remix package of ‘Mad Love’

0

With her anticipated debut album ‘High Expectations’ just around the corner (it lands in August), Londoner Mabel has hooked up with a world-leaning trio of production outfits for the remix package of her recent single, ‘Mad Love’.

Featuring interpretations from Leftwing & Kody, Syn Cole and Blinkie, all three put a varied spin on the original – Leftwing & Kody’s edit brings a 90’s electronic style into the fray with a nostalgic feel, whilst both Syn Cole’s and Blinkie’s reworks build on the original piano chords, though with more driven and harder drops.

Listen: Octavian – ‘Feel It’ ft. Theophilus London (Krystal Klear Remix)

0

Emerging from the underground British rap scene last year, Octavian has rapidly risen to global recognition, and his recent single ‘Feel It’, which featured Theophilus London, showcased the MC’s strive for world-domination in an instance. Today, however, that song gets a nod to the dancefloor courtesy of Krystal Klear.

Already an undoubtedly cool track, Krystal Klear’s new remix takes things to higher-heights – working up the drum pads, the producer further throws in an added synthy bassline, plus additional chords to give the track that old school electro-swing / Italo disco styled feel.

This is sublime; listen below:
