Hear Troye Sivan’s beautiful new ballad ‘The Good Side’

After kicking off the year with his excellent ‘My My My’ just a week ago, Troye Sivan has shown his versatility as potentially one of the greatest artists of a generation with his new ballad ‘The Good Side’.

Premiered as Zane Lowe’s recent Beats 1 World Record, the song hears Sivan focus more on acoustic-led vocals, morphing toward twinkly subtle synths in a joint that wouldn’t seem out of place in a Flume project.

‘The Good Side’ may be a complete 180 to its predecessor, but definitely a track you won’t want to miss out on. Listen below:

Hear Justin Timberlake’s new Neptunes-produced single, ‘Supplies’

Justin Timberlake has revealed his latest single, ‘Supplies’.

Lifted off his forthcoming album ‘Man Of The Woods’, set for release on 2nd February, the track comes a fortnight since the unveiling of the project’s lead release ‘Filthy‘, and marks the first time Timberlake has united with The Neptunes since 2002’s ‘Justified’. The singer recently revealed that label conflicts with Jive Records led to a 15 year gap between both parties working together.

Justin Timberlake shares teaser for new song ‘Supplies’

True to his word, Justin Timberlake will release a new song tomorrow, 18th January.

Titled Supplies, the track is the second cut from Timberlake’s upcoming new album Man Of The Woods, and marks the first time Justin has united with The Neptunes since his acclaimed 2002 debut, Justified.

Two more songs from Man Of The Woods are also rumoured to be released prior to the full record dropping on 2nd February.

SW4 2018: Chase & Status, Marshmello, Craig David to headline

SW4 organisers have announced the first wave of artists confirmed for 2018.

Now in its 15th year, SW4 will be headlined by Marshmello (a UK festival exclusive) on Saturday 25th August, whilst the following day will close with Chase and Status, who will be performing their only London show of the summer. Craig David’s TS5 will support C&S, whilst Dizzee Rascal becomes the afternoon headliner for the Saturday.

Additional notable acts on the bill include Andy C, Disciples, Netsky, Sigma and My Nu Leng. **UPDATE: DJ EZ has also now self-confirmed for Sunday 26th August**.

James Blake announces one-off Roundhouse show

James Blake has announced a one-off show at London’s Roundhouse.

Set to play an in-the-round show at the iconic Camden venue on 5th February, the event will act as a prelude to Blake’s upcoming support show for Kendrick Lamar. It’s widely-likely he will also use the event to showcase new music, having previously previewed new songs Can’t Believe The Way We Flow, Asking For A Friend and Black Lung at his live US sets during the back-end of last year.

Presale tickets for the Roundhouse gig will be available from 10am tomorrow (16th January) via DICE.

Titled King’s Dead, the track hears Jay collaborate with Kendrick Lamar, Future and James Blake, with the song also appearing on the Kendrick-curated soundtrack to the upcoming Black Panther movie.

After making a huge dent in 2017 following appearances with the likes of Gorillaz, Jorja Smith, Diplo and more, Kali Uchis is set to ensure her hype continues way into the future, kicking off 2018 with the excellent After The Storm.

Taking cues from Lana Del Rey (who Uchis will be supporting this month, alongside Jhené Aiko), the track hears guest features from Bootsy Collins and longtime collaborator Tyler, The Creator (plus production from BADBADNOTGOOD). “We can find solace in the fact that we have to go through the bad stuff to truly get to the good,” says Kali of the track, adding “Just because you’re losing at the moment doesn’t mean you’ve lost yet. The storm may be scary now but it’s how your flowers bloom later, and paradise is just beyond the rainbow.”

After spending the last couple of years making a solid name for himself across the electronica/future-bass sphere, Bearcubs will finally release his long-awaited debut album Ultraviolet this March. Preceded by lead single Do You Feel, today sees the Londoner share the project’s second cut, Landslide.

Far more subtle than the aforementioned lead, instead Landslide hears the 27 year old throw into alt-crooner mode, probably more akin to a morph of James Blake’s CMYK and Retrograde, with some added SBTRKT thrown in for good measure. Leave these comparisons to be purely sonically, mind – Bearcubs is in true his own person, and making some of the most spectacular pieces of music we’ve heard in a long time.
