Hear Vancouver Sleep Clinic connect with Drew Love on ‘Closure’

Vancouver Sleep Clinic has announced his first piece of new music for 2018, teaming up with THEY’s Drew Love on ‘Closure’.

“Closure is a song that happened very naturally and quickly” said VSC (aka producer Tim Bettinson) of the track, adding “I was with Drew Love in LA and the whole thing came together in about 4 hours one night we were working. The song is for when you have really screwed a good thing up but are way too attached to let that person go easily. I love coming out with it first because in a way it’s a declaration of intent that i wont be going away any time soon.”

Lovebox 2018 line-up revealed

Lovebox organisers have announced this year’s stellar line-up as the annual festival returns to London for another year.

Now celebrating its move to West London for the first time, Lovebox 2018 will see the likes of Skepta, N*E*R*D, The Internet, Mabel and Donald Glover grace the now-rehoused stages at the Capital’s historic Gunnersbury Park. Additional names include Anderson .Paak, Mura Masa, Bicep, Peggy Gou, Jon Hopkins and CamelPhat.

Reading & Leeds Festival 2018 first-wave line-up revealed

The first names for this summer’s Reading & Leeds Festival have been announced.

Taking the helm from Kasabian, Eminem and Muse who headlined last year, 2018’s lineup will see Fall Out Boy, Kendrick Lamar and Kings Of Leon take to R&L’s mainstage across the 24-26th August Bank Holiday weekend. Further acts added to the lineup include Skepta, Ghetts, Dua Lipa, My Nu Leng, Annie Mac, Tom Grennan, Bicep, Hannah Wants and Sigrid. Headliners were announced earlier this morning on Nick Grimshaw’s BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show.

Jorja Smith announces October 2018 UK tour

Jorja Smith has announced a host of new UK shows as she spearheads what’s likely to be an even-more-successful year than 2017.

Set to kick off in Norwich on October 4th, the singer will then travel across the country, stopping in Bristol, Newcastle, Glasgow, Manchester, Birmingham and Nottingham, before concluding at London’s Brixton Academy on 14th October.

The announcement of the tour dates come midway during her current sold-out UK stint, which will see her hit the capital’s Shepherds Bush Empire this coming Wednesday. Check the full October schedule below; tickets are onsale now:

Hear Luke Burr’s shining debut ‘Too Far Gone’

We’ve been keeping a close eye on Luke Burr for a good few years now, having seen him perform at many of the London nightspots that seems the launchpad for many of today’s shining chart-recruits. It may have been a long journey but today finally sees the release of the 22 year-old’s excellent debut single ‘Too Far Gone’.

Described as “a lovelorn track draped across expansive production”, Luke tells us that the song “was written when I was questioning something a lot. But knowing that I’ve given so much to it and love it far too much to ever give it up… For me “Too Far Gone” is about not giving up. It’s a feeling where you’ve given so much to something that you can’t ever walk away”.

Keep a close eye on this one – a song that starts off as a somewhat slowjam encapsulates into an ethereal sub-futuretronic experience, brought back to the ground by Luke’s smooth soulful vocals.

Joey Negro to headline 2018’s Brixton Disco Festival

South London will play host to a celebration of 40 years of disco later this summer, with a huge programme scheduled under the guise of the Brixton Disco Festival.

Set to hit multiple venues across the area including the Electric Brixton and the Prince Of Wales Rooftop bar, the festival will cover a multitude of sounds of the 70s, and feature a headline set from Joey Negro alongside live appearances from Jocelyn Brown, Crazy P Soundsystem, Norman Jay’s Up On The Roof, Nicky Siano and more.

Jungle announce summer 2018 UK tour

Jungle have announced a run of new live shows ahead of their impending new material.

Set to kick off in Canada and then toward the US in early-April, the London-based collective will then travel the country throughout the month before heading to the UK for a series of headline performances. Currently tour stops have been confirmed across most major cities with the exception of London – it’s widely-likely these will be announced nearer the time.

Jungle’s J and T (aka Josh Lloyd-Watson and Tom McFarland, the production duo behind the group) have been spending the past couple of years hopping between the UK and the US to fine-tune their forthcoming second album – the project, which is still without a title or release date, was recently described by the Londoners as a “Post-apocalyptic radio station playing break-up songs. It’s like you’re tuning into a fucked -up station, catching little bits.”
