BB Diamond reunites with Shift K3Y for ‘Man Or A Monster’

Having spent the last 12 months in the studio collaborating with the likes of DJ Fresh, 99 Souls and Sub Focus (among others), BB Diamond is back on her own tip, releasing her solid new single ‘Man or a Monster’.

Featuring production from Shift K3Y (the two connected way back in 2015 on the excellent ‘Gone Missing’, a track which still appears on regular rotation at our studios to this day), ‘Man Or A Monster’ has been described by Diamond as an “F.U to all those serial relationship cheaters and deceivers”, adding “In any relationship there is the good and bad, but when it all turns ugly, that’s when you need to get the hell out of there!”

Having teased various songs from the project over the past few months, Diplo has finally released his heavily-anticipated ‘California’ EP.

Featuring a killer guestlist spanning Lil Xan, Trippie Redd, DRAM, Lil Yachty, Desiigner, Santigold, Goldlink and MØ, the new EP marks the Major Lazer-producer’s first solo body of work in five years, and comes ahead of Diplo’s recently-teased upcoming collaboration with Sia and Labrinth (the end result expected to be part of an entirely-different project).

Hear David Guetta and Sia reconnect on ‘Flames’

David Guetta has reunited with Sia for their new collaboration, ‘Flames’.

Known mostly for their tie-up on 2011’s huge ‘Titanium’, the new single marks the fourth time the two artists have worked together, having previously also connected on ‘She Wolf’ and ‘Bang My Head’. “‘Titanium’ is still one of the tracks I am proudest of and Sia is one of my favorite artists to work with” says Guetta, adding “She’s a great songwriter and has an amazing voice. I’m just super excited that we get to release another track together.”

Dutch DJ / producer Mason has dropped his club-ready new single, ‘Dance, Shake, Move’.

A vibrant floorfiller which utilises a deep bassline, and slick female vocal, the track serves as an uptempo groove production, and follows up last summer’s Defected-released ‘Rhino‘ (itself given the coveted titled of Radio 1’s Hottest Record at the time).

Calvin Harris and Dua Lipa reportedly have a song on the way

Dua Lipa has reportedly become the next big start to collaborate with Calvin Harris.

According to Twitter fansite CalvinHDaily, the two will link up on a new song titled ‘One Kiss’. A release date has yet to be confirmed, however the fan account managed to play sleuth by scanning the mysterious QR code on Calvin’s Twitter header, with the song title and collaboration revealed there.

Sigrid, The Roots, Jorja Smith and De La Soul for Somerset House Summer Series

MGMT, Sigrid, The Roots and Jorja Smith are among the headliners announced for this summer’s return of Somerset House’s annual Summer Series.

Once again sponsored by American Express, Summer Series 2018 kicks off on 5th July with Metronomy, runnning throughout the month before concluding on the 15h with a headline show from Roisin Murphy. De La Soul, Jazzie B, David Rodigan, Wiley and Norman Jay will also be among the acts, whilst The Roots and De La Soul’s sets will be London exclusives for the summer.

It’s safe to say that Dua Lipa’s had one hell of a year. From success both in her home turf to as far-reaching as the US, the young Brit seems to smash everything in her path, and today her excellent ‘Be The One’ has been given a further lick of life, this time for the futurebass-heads courtesy of KRANE.

Historically, Oakland-based Krane has totally switched things up with pretty much everything he’s touched, and his sprawling rework of Lipa’s instantly-catchy pop number really does hit the mark.

We’re not gonna lie, we weren’t big fans of the original when it landed last month, however MONKID and The Lost Beat really have turned things around with this refreshing remix – at just shy of three minutes, the duo definitely take listeners onto a musical journey that the original edit failed to deliver.
