The Weeknd confirms imminent release of new project ‘My Dear Melancholy’

The Weeknd has confirmed recent rumours that he will drop a brand new project tonight.

Set for release on 30th March, ‘My Dear Melancholy’ has been cited by many online resources as a full album, though that still remains to be confirmed – there’s also chances it could be a playlist, or even a mixtape (or EP).

Though any further details are still to be revealed, Abel has released the collection’s official artwork, and on first inspection, seems it could be a throwback to his early ‘House Of Balloons’ mixtape which catapulted him onto the scene with its atmospheric alt-gloomy sonics.

Almost eight years on from their ‘Plastic Beach’ tie-up, Snoop Dogg has connected with Gorillaz once more on new song ‘Hollywood’.

Premiered during the Gorillaz recent live show in Chile, the track appeared alongside Damon Albarn’s cryptic tease of even more new music – “If you go and tell anyone that we’re putting a new album out very soon, then I’ll deny it because I didn’t say that, alright?”

Snakehips team up with Jeremih & Aminé on ‘For The F^_^k Of It’

Snakehips have revealed the second track from their eagerly-anticipated ‘Stay Home Tapes’ EP, teaming up with Jeremih alongside breakthrough rapper Aminé for ‘For The F^_^k Of It’.

Released alongside a new video clip, ‘For The F^_^k Of It’ soundtracks the second part of the EP’s mini movie. The story is centred around a middle aged woman named Sue, and her adventures with her friend during a trippy joyride through Los Angeles, before eventually realising that the outside world is too crazy and they should have stayed home.

Sam Smith teams up with Logic for new version of ‘Pray’

Sam Smith has announced he will release a new version of ‘Pray’ as the latest single from his sophomore album ‘The Thrill of It All’.

Originally shared as a teaser-taster for the new album back in October, ‘Pray’ hears Sam team up with Timbaland for the first time, alongside reuniting with long-time collaborator Jimmy Napes. The rework will also reportedly hear Logic add his own additional verses to the song.

Tom Misch announces winter 2018 UK tour

Tom Misch has announced his UK & Europe winter tour ahead of next month’s release of his debut album ‘Geography’.

Set to hit multiple dates across the continent, Tom will kick off on his home turn on 11th November at Newcastle’s O2 Academy. He’ll then travel to Birmingham and Manchester before concluding his UK run with his biggest headline show to date at London’s O2 Brixton Academy.

Tom recently concluded a UK headline run that saw him sell out two nights at Camden’s Roundhouse in quick succession. Meanwhile April will see him hit the US for more sold-out shows, including two slots at this year’s Coachella.
