Listen to Kanye West, Lil Yachty and Quavo’s unreleased ‘Face Down’

Kanye West’s long-rumoured collaboration with Lil Yachty and Quavo has leaked online.

Teased last summer when Kanye and Migos were spotted in the studio together, the existence of new music took further notches back at the turn of this year, when Quavo announced he’d been working with Yeezy.

The source of the leak of the song, titled ‘Face Down’ is currently unknown, however on first listen, it sounds far removed from anything on Kanye’s recent ‘YE’, so unlikely formed part of that album’s recording sessions.

Lily Allen has shared the video for ‘Lost My Mind’ ahead of the release of her new album ‘No Shame’ later this week.

Listed as the fifth song on the record’s tracklisting, ‘No Shame’ marks Lily’s first full-length studio record since 2014’s ‘Sheezus’, and hears her at her most-emotive yet.

Daniel Caesar, Kamasi Washington and Christine and the Queens have become the latest inductees into the Jools Holland hall of fame.

Appearing on the most recent episode of BBC2’s ‘Later… with Jools Holland’ series, Kamasi and co were also joined by St Vincent, Daniel Blumber and James to complete the eclectic line-up. Undoubtedly it was the aforementioned Kamasi alongside his impeccable band, plus Daniel Caesar (who enlisted H.E.R. for a gorgeous rendition of ‘Best Part’) who stole the show – though not at the detriment to the rest.

Hear Becky Hill’s new single ‘Sunrise In The East’

It’s been more than a minute since we’ve heard anything new from Becky Hill (last year’s ‘Unpredictable’ is still fucking great, but it’s also ‘well 2017’, and if you didn’t realise, we’re now firmly in 2018-territory).

Worry not though, the Bewdley born-and-raised singer/songwriter is now back, and she’s ready to totally amp up the schedule for new music. Now firmly in ‘album-mode’ (her debut full-length is set to land early next year), Becky’s now been given full major-label backing courtesy of Polydor, and today comes the first fruits of her labour with ‘Sunrise In The East’.

Revealed as Jamz Supernova’s latest Jam Hot on 1Xtra, ‘Sunrise In The East’ has all the hallmarks of summer – written by Maverick Sabre alongside Lostboy, this one could undoubtedly put Becky on the trajectory of getting bigger font-sizes on festival line-ups.

The Weeknd announces new Beats 1 show ‘Memento Mori’

The Weeknd will follow in the footsteps of the likes of Elton John, Pharrell and Frank Ocean with his own radio show on Apple’s Beats 1, the station has confirmed.

Called Memento Mori, the show will debut at 5pm GMT (midday Eastern Time) this coming Friday, 8th June. According to the press release that announced the new Apple partnership, The Weeknd will use the show to showcase “some of the music that’s been keeping him up late and helping him create some very memorable nights”

The Internet have shared the video for their groovy new single ‘Come Over’.

Lifted off their forthcoming album ‘Hive Mind’, out 20th July, the track couples with last month’s ‘Roll (Burbank Funk)’ to make their follow-up to ‘Ego Death’ one of this year’s most hotly-anticipated releases.

Speaking on the release of the new Syd-directed video, the band say of their upcoming record: “After making a few songs we realized that we really want to use this album to live by example and promote camaraderie amongst young black people,” Syd reveals.“We realized that we’re the only band of our kind. And we want to really solidify ourselves as that, as the best.”

Richie Hawtin announces UK headline shows

Richie Hawtin has announced plans to bring his award-winning CLOSE shows to the UK later this year.

Set to play two nights in October – at Glasgow’s O2 Academy and London’s Roundhouse – the shows will see the electronic DJ’s Spontaneity & Synchronicity concept be supported by Swedish electronic act TM404 aka Andreas Tilliander, a regular guest at Hawtin’s ENTER residency in Ibiza.

“I have spent most of my life behind a table half-concealed” says Hawtin of the new dates, adding “The CLOSE show removes the barrier between artist and audience and it feels like I’m in that moment with everybody else. It feels very powerful. If I can get to that point during the show with everybody, that’s why I got into this music. Being locked in this cloud of frequencies that feels like its from tomorrow; that you’re living in the future. I am really happy to finally perform this show at the Roundhouse in London, and the Scottish crowds have always been a huge inspiration to me.”

Mariah Carey announces UK Christmas tour

Mariah Carey has announced plans to bring her ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ tour to the UK later this year.

Revealing three December dates so far, Mariah will kick off the UK stint on 9th December at Nottingham Arena. She will then travel to Leeds Arena the following day before concluding on 11th December at London’s O2 Arena.

Tickets go onsale this coming Friday, 28th September, with a presale kicking off two days prior on Wednesday (26th September). The announcement follows the recent reveal of her new single ‘GTFO‘.
