It’s been the subject of massive online rumours for a while now, but Beyonce has finally lifted the lid on the official remix of her new track ‘I Been On’.
Keeping it close to home, Bey has recruited her H-town boys Bun B, Scarface, and Slim Thug on the heavy-based track.

Radio 1 legend Annie Mac has finally lifted the veils off Skream’s mix of Rudimental’s brilliant new track ‘Hell Could Freeze’.
The mix was initially previewed by Skream just over two weeks ago, however here’s the whole track in full. With brilliant vocals by Angel Haze, this is set to be one of the many anthems of the summer that are slowly making their appearance.

Deconstruction-signed London producer has produced probably one of the greatest sounds of the summer with new track ‘Turn Me out’.
The track features a heavy sample of funky house classic ‘Turn Me Out’ by Kathy Brown, but Chimes’ version takes it to levels never imagined. Fusing an early 90s electro/synth-heavy beat to it, this could well be THE sound to take funky house back to where it should be.

In what could possibly be one of the most creative videos of all time, Odd Future rapper Tyler, The Creator has raised the bar with new track ‘IFHY’, and it’s well worth watching.
Throughout the self-directed video, the rapper provides a rap more emotionally outpouring than a song itself via a completely lifelike doll alter-ego. The over 4-minute video focuses on Tyler doing his best to grab the attention of a mute female doll who fails to reciprocate his advances (hence IFHY’s abbreviation of ‘I Fucking Hate You’).
All week, the rapper has been tweeting about the premiere of the clip (with Pharrell providing vocals though unshown onscreen), and the results epitomise the strength of the artist’s creativity – not just from a spoken-word point of view, but clearly visually now too.
It’s a completely entertaining and engaging few minutes of your life – well worth a watch. Check it out below:
Whilst the ‘whens’ and ‘wheres’ of the video are unknown, One Directioner Niall Horan has been captured performing an acoustic of the band’s hit ‘Little Things’.
The performance, on a small stage in an Irish pub, shows Horan singing and strumming away on guitar-at-hand, with his rendition of the group’s chart-smash, written by Brit Ed Sheeran.
I’m no fan of the ‘band’ whatsoever, however I must say I’m highly impressed with this impromptu set. Take a peek at the video and let us know your thoughts. Could this pave the way for a future solo career when the group inevitably split?
American crooner Miguel has confirmed Kendrick Lamar’s involvement for the official remix of new track ‘Home Many Drinks’, the original appearing on Miguel’s esteemed album ‘Kaleidoscope Dream’.
In the Ustream video posted earlier today, the singer described how much it means to be working with other artists from his birthplace. Speaking frankly, the singer says:
“Being from Los Angeles I’m really keen on working with artists from my hometown…. we’ve had the opportunity to run into each other and to do shows together, but I think a lot of people forget there’s so much talent in L.A.. For this single it was really important to kind of remind people there is unity amongst musicians in Los Angeles, and hopefully create a really special moment that sparks even more creative connections….. This next video is featuring the ever talented, just killin the game in every single way, Kendrick Lamar! I’m super excited to have him not just on the song, but in the video.”

Ruff Ryder rapper Eve has announced her latest album ‘Lip Lock’ is to be released on 14th May.
The album serves as her first major release in a little over 11 years, and it’s widely known that the Ruff Ryder singer has been working hard in the studio whilst entwining music with an acting career.
Speaking in an interview earlier today, Eve said “I don’t want people to take [Lip Lock] too seriously,” she says. “I’m not trying to relive any moments of my life. I’m in a new place in my life. I’m almost a new artist. It’s a fun record.”
The 12-track album will feature guest collaborations by major stars and producers alike, including Missy Elliott, Snoop Dogg and Swizz Beatz. The album’s expected lead single, ‘Make It Out This Town’, has also been announced, and can be heard below.
British electropop artist Frankmusik has taken to social media to announce he is to delay his long-awaited new LP.
Posting on Facebook a short while ago, the singer/producer said,
I have to sadly confirm that my new album will no longer be released on April 1st. The reasons are simple and I have no problem explaining them. But whats the point. You just need to know that this will be the best album I have ever made and I want it to have the kind of release it deserves. Time has not been on my side in cramming everything in that I need to do but I’m getting there. I have some very very exciting news coming up in the next couple of weeks too. Just hang in there folks. I’m shooting videos and getting everything together with the help of an ever expanding team that are helping the Frankmusik brand really establish itself as a fully independent creative output for me and for that I am so so grateful. I felt I needed to start from scratch in January which is great, but my vision is wide and for that you need resources and my biggest one if not all of ours (despite it more often than not being over looked) is time. I hope you all understand. This album is something I want to listen to and play to my adopted children many years from now and say, “yeah son. I did that”. This will be that album.

Daft Punk may be looking to make more Random Access Memories at one of the world’s biggest music festivals this summer.
The French duo, who recently announced their new album ‘Random Access Memories’, added an April 12th tour date at ‘Empire Polo Field’, CA, onto their official VEVO page this morning, however as fast as it was uploaded it was quickly taken removed. However, the appearance quickly raised questions on whether a more formal announcement was on its way.
‘Random Access Memories’ is set for a May 21st release – so far, only two 15-second trailers have been aired during the adbreak on US show Saturday Night Live.
This is shaping up to be an exciting summer of music!
Funky house fans can rejoice with this new funky house track that’s just landed in our inbox from rising producer Lazrjet.
Lazrjet, aka Marc Langsman has a truly diverse style as a producer and DJ. Inspired by the underground sounds of London’s pirate radio stations and his parents contrasting record collection, he quickly took to the decks professionally in 1997 after blowing his student loan on technics. Fusing classic tracks by bands like Pink Floyd and the Beatles with house, garage and hip-hop won him the Scottish Finals of the Vestax/Telegraph ‘Student DJ of The Year’ competition and ranked 2nd in the UK.
Following this success, Marc supported Scottish tour dates with Ministry of Sound, Cream and Miss Monneypenny’s. Edging towards a more production-based approach, he jumped on the creative potential of digital vinyl emulation and held residencies at the Edinburgh festival mixing up beats and samples alongside saxophonists and live musicians. Continuing to carve out his ecletic but accessible sound, he played at Sunrise Festival, Churchill’s Cabinet War Rooms for the launch of the award-winning hacking game ‘Defcon’ and in the backrooms of London’s underground trance scene.
“I’ve always enjoyed juxtaposing diverse styles and this is reflected in my production work” says Langsman. “My first single ‘No Sunshine’ reworks vocals inspired by the Bill Wither’s 1970’s classic on a Nu Disco meets Chillwave summertime tip. At the moment I’ve been really influenced by Miguel Campbell and all the awesome stuff coming out on Hot Creations as well as Com Truise and Chillwave pioneers like Washed Out and Toro Y Moi.”
