Ciara & Missy Elliott confirmed for American Music Awards performance

Organisers of the 2018 American Music Awards have announced Ciara and Missy Elliott as the latest in an ever-growing line-up of performances.

Set to hit the stage on 9th October, the duo will perform together, with Ciara promising “[we’ve got] something really special”. Additional performances so far include Khalid, Carrie Underwood, plus a return to the stage for Mariah Carey.

Featuring reworks from Zac Samuel, Leon Lour and a dirty-bass edit from Moss, it’s the former remix we’re bringing to you, which hears producer Samuel serve up solid feel-good vibes with warm synths, 4/4 beats and chopped vocals.

Following almost a month of teasers, DJ Snake has finally unveiled his new single ‘Taki Taki’, featuring a guest cast of Selena Gomez, Ozuna, and Cardi B. Released via Polydor Records, ‘Taki Taki’ is available now on all digital retailers.

The song, which comes ahead of Snake’s forthcoming new album, follows the producer’s run of global hits over the past few years, including ‘Turn Down For What’ and ‘Let Me Love You’.

Hear Nile Rodgers and Chic’s long-awaited new album ‘It’s About Time’

26 years in the making, Chic’s long-awaited studio record ‘It’s About Time’ has landed, featuring a who’s-who list of collaborations spanning Elton John, Lady Gaga, NAO and Stefflon Don (among others).

Coming after somewhat of a resurgent few years for Nile Rodgers and his iconic disco band, the record was originally announced over four years ago, but that time has seen Rogers and co reflect back to the drawing board countless times, particularly after label spats with Warner.

Gaga herself appears on a modern-day rework of the band’s classic hit ‘I Want Your Love’, whilst previous singles ‘Till The World Falls’ and the Craig David-featuring ‘Sober’ also make appearances.

Is it a classic? Potentially not, but new Chic music can never be sneered at; as a perfectionist, ‘It’s About Time’ has the Nile Rodgers hallmark all over it. Listen below:

Almost seven years in the making, the project arrived on the same day Weezy celebrated his 36th birthday, and among a mountain of standouts of the 23-song collection, we’re hyped to see Kendrick’s name appear on the collaboration list.

Starring on ‘Mona Lisa’, fans may notice the cut after internationally-known dickhead Martin Shkreli leaked a snippet of the song during a live Periscope broadcast a couple of years back.
