Following on from the reveal of new track All Night last week, Icona Pop have unveiled the video for another single Girlfriend.
The track cleverly samples Jay Z & Beyonce’s 03 Bonnie and Clyde vocally on top of a club/pop beat.

Three tracks that were recorded as a duet between Michael Jackson and Freddie Mercury are set to be released later this year, according to Queen band members Brian May and Roger Taylor
The tracks were recorded during multiple sessions in the early 80s and were meant for a full album of duets, however due to time constraints, the project was left unfinished.

It’s hard to believe that whilst house DJ Avicii has been ranked No 3 in DJ Magazine’s Top 100 DJs list, he is still yet to release his debut LP! Well that’s all set to change, come 17th September, when the 23 year-old Swede is expected to drop his album #True.
To whet appetites for the forthcoming LP, the global megastar has dropped new track Speed, part of his collaboration with the Lotus F1 Team and Burn energy drink.
If you want to be lucky enough to own the track before its official release, however, the DJ is giving away 10,000 free downloads of Speed on Burn’s Facebook page tomorrow (Monday 29th July). It’s on a first-come, first-served basis though, so be quick!
After announcing a new record deal on Thursday (with a new track penned by Lady Gaga), the surviving members of TLC reunited on stage last night at the Mixtape Festival for a rendition of some of their most-loved work.
Dance-moves in tow, T-Boz and Chilli paid tribute to late member Lisa ‘Left Eye’ Lopes during a rousing rendition of Waterfalls, whilst femcee Lil’ Mama (who plays Left-Eye in the forthcoming movie biopic, trailer below), took the role of Lopes for her No Scrubs rap.
After the performance, Chilli and T-Boz assured fans that there would never be a replacement for Left-Eye, with T-Boz saying “We gonna keep it going and keep it alive, no matter what…. We said we will never replace her! Are we clear?” Chilli continued, saying “And we are also saying that we want to continue moving forward, so we can continue making music for you guys, performing for you guys, because she will always be remembered through us…. That was our sister. She is our sister.”

Donald Glover, AKA rapper Childish Gambino has unveiled new track Centipede, and has decided to give it away to fans for free.
Whilst it’s not the greatest of all rap tracks around (it seems a fairly ‘quickly thrown together’ affair), the fact that it’s free finds it hard to complain. However maybe Glover is in agreement that it’s far from his best work, hence the free release.
Anyhow, Centipede should still keep fans happy; it’s been a while since we’ve had a steady slew of new music from the rapper (since 2011’s debut album Camp), so expect to see more titbits of future releases coming through soon….

Those who took a shine to 90s R&B will be well accustomed to singer/songwriter Toni Braxton.
The star hit the big-time during one of the ‘golden eras’ of modern-day R&B, with such ballads as Unbreak My Heart and You’re Making Me High, along with early 00’s chart-belter He Wasn’t Man Enough, however due to financial difficulties, it seems that bankruptcy was imminent.
According to celebrity news site TMZ, the star has just lost 27 tracks that made her famous. During her bankruptcy proceedings, Braxton was given the option of buying back these songs from her music catalogue for $20k – the only catch was that she could have been outbid.
And that’s exactly what happened! According to reports, Ross M Klein doubled the asking price and took the rights for the tracks for himself. TMZ report that among the 27 are a few hits, including You’re Making Me High, How Many Ways, and Always.
“Un-Break My Heart” is not among the 27 though.

One week on from a storming set at London’s Somerset House, dance legends Basement Jaxx have unveiled their new track What A Difference Your Love Makes.
Featuring vocals from 26 year-old newcomer Sam Brookes, What A Difference Your Love Makes marks a strong return to form from the Brixton production outfit, and follows up this summer’s anthem Back To The Wild.

Jay Z has confirmed that his mammoth 6 hour performance at the Pace Gallery in NYC earlier this month is to be shown as a special one-off documentary on US TV station HBO in August.
The performance saw the artist rapping through Picasso Baby, the first single off the star’s latest LP Magna Carta Holy Grail, to a live audience on July 10th, which included art-world figures including Laurie Simons, Marilyn Minter and Jerry Saltz.
Picasso Baby: A Performance Art Film will be shown on Friday August 2nd; no-doubt it’ll hit the net soon after. In the meantime check out the full trailer below:
