AlunaGeorge cover Naughty Boy / Sam Smith’s ‘La La La’ in Live Lounge

It might not feel like it, but honestly we’re not a blog dedicated solely to AlunaGeorge, it’s just they’ve offered us a storming barrage of content of late!

Anyhow, earlier today, the duo took to Radio 1’s Live Lounge, and as usual, performed a Live Lounge cover. Their track of choice? Sam Smith & Naughty Boy’s number one anthem La La La. Taking a whole new approach to the track, producer George Reid goes slightly 2-step’y’, whilst singer Aluna Francis’ child-esque vocals seemingly work well (if not a little too high-pitched at times).

Still, it’s a wonderful working – we expect nothing less.

Justin Timberlake premieres ‘Take Back The Night’ video

Less than three weeks after the YouTube furore over the release of the Tunnel Vision visual, superstar Justin Timberlake has unveiled the official video to his new single Take Back The Night, accompanied by a full immersive interactive experience over on his official site here. The twitter-driven Take Back The Night campaign will allow users to take a virtual tour throughout the New York setting of the video.

The single is the lead release off Timberlake’s forthcoming album The 20/20 Experience vol 2, expected to drop 30th September, and received its first live performance during the star’s breathtaking headline set at Yahoo!’s Wireless Festival 2 weeks ago.

TV: Homeland Season 3 teased in new trailer

A trailer for the forthcoming third season of US terror show Homeland has been released.

The clip, which makes similarities to hacked radio-signals, confirms the appearance of Sgt Nicholas Brody (Damian Lewis) and Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes) in the eagerly anticipated third season.

The trailer also confirms a 29th September start for the series.

Tinie Tempah has lifted the lid on the video for this new track Trampoline, the first single off the British rapper’s forthcoming second album Demonstration

The provocative video, which also guests US rapper 2 Chainz, features Tinie surrounded by a plethora of scantily clad beauties, whilst the bubble-trap fills the airways.

After bringing you the audio over a month ago, Wretch 32 returns with the visual for new single Doing OK.

Starring collaborator Jacob Banks, the video is simply, stunning. Paying homage to his mum, Wretch’s ability to drive thought-provoking lyrics never seeks to amaze us. Whilst obviously heralding from a more grime-esque background, his laid-back tones really do add something special to UK hip-hop.

Heralded as being one of the biggest influences in the UK Garage / R&B crossover, Ms Dynamite has returned with her new track Cloud 9.

Premiered on B. Trait’s Radio 1 show last night, Cloud 9, produced by Shy FX, takes on a summary reggae feel before dropping across a D&B bassline.

Will it have the impact that It Takes More had way back in the early 2000s? Maybe not, but it’s great to have Ms D back again anyhow.

After announcing his return to music with forthcoming album Black Panties, R Kelly has unveiled the first track from the new cut in the form of My Story, featuring rapper 2 Chainz.

It’s not the most groundbreaking of affairs, quite simply it’s just Kellz on a swish R&B beat…. but it’s a formula that’s worked in the past so there’s been no need for him to change it up!
