Premiere: Sevyn Streeter ft Chris Brown – ‘It Won’t Stop’

Whilst the name Sevyn Streeter might not ring bells to the masses just yet, we’re marking her as one of our 2014 Ones-To-Watch, and with this new track, it’s easy to see why.

New single It Won’t Stop, featuring Chris Brown, sounds simply perfect. Featuring Streeter’s Aaliyah-esque vocals, the track brings R&B back to where it should always have been (and away from the dreadful EDM that seems to have crossed over to the gentre of late).

The track follows 2012’s I Like It, and both singles are set to appear on her forthcoming as-yet-untitled debut album.

With an impressive writing portfolio under her belt already (Brown’s stormer Fine China and Kelly Rowland’s Gone to name but two), we’re looking forward to hearing what else is to come from the US vocalist.

Ellie Goulding announces March 2014 arena tour

Ellie Goulding has today announced she will play an arena tour in the UK in March 2014, including a date at The 02 in London.

The dates have been added due to phenomenal demand, and follow her sold out UK tour in October. The Hereford-born singer-songwriter is enjoying a hugely successful year after scoring her first UK number one single Burn – which is enjoying its second consecutive week at the top of the charts – and topping sales of over four million albums and fifteen million singles.

Ellie Goulding’s repackaged album Halcyon Days is out now and includes ten new songs plus collaborations with Calvin Harris, DJ Fresh, Madeon and BURNS.

The surviving members of TLC have confirmed more details regarding their forthcoming new album.

T-Boz and Chilli announced more after their appearance at the weekend’s MTV VMAs, detailing that their new LP, their fifth in the history of TLC, is set to feature many collaboration on its release this October, with collaborators looking to pay homage to deceased member Lisa ‘Left-Eye’ Lopes.

Speaking of some of the artists featured, the surviving duo confirmed that Ne-Yo is to feature on track Meant To Be, whilst a song has also been recorded and written with Lady Gaga.

New music: Eminem unveils ‘Berserk’

After announcing his full return to music during the Beats by Dre adspots on the VMAs, Eminem has unveiled his new single Berserk in its full entirety.

The track is the lead single from new album MMLP2, set for release on 5th November. By using the name MMLP2, the Detroit rapper is harking back to arguably his finest work, his 2000-release Marshall Mathers LP.

With a strong lead track like Berzerk as well as album production by Dre Dre and Rick Rubin, it’s going to be an interesting time for hiphop!

Bryan Cranston cast as Lex Luthor for ‘Man of Steel 2’

Whilst Ben Affleck’s casting as Batman for the forthcoming Man of Steel 2 movie divided opinion on announcement last week, it seems further information is starting to break on other parts of the cast-list.

According to website Comicbooknews.com, Breaking Bad star Bryan Cranston is expected to take the helm as villain Lex Luthor in the next instalment of the Man of Steel movies.

Additionally, the site continues, saying: Look for the official announcement to follow the conclusion to the final season of Breaking Bad as WB wants to dovetail off the end of that. Regarding Ben Affleck, we are told he has allegedly a 13-appearance deal for Batman. DC is going to have all of their main characters liberally appearing or at least mentioned in all of their movies to portray a more connected world than what Marvel Studios has done so far.

Fresh from his award-winning night at the MTV VMAs, where he was joined by his old N*Sync cohorts, Justin Timberlake has unveiled a promotional video for his forthcoming album The 20/20 Experience 2.

The video harks back to June 2012 when Timberlake originally entered the studio to record the follow-up to his 2006 landmark LP FutureSex/LoveSounds, and sees the new President of Pop discussing the creation of the album with friend and producer Timbaland.

Freemasons remix John Newman’s ‘Cheating’

Funky house/disco production outfit Freemasons have put their stamp on John Newman’s new single Cheating, and it is AMAZING!.

Newman, who topped the charts last May as the featured vocalist on Rudimental’s Feel The Love, is hoping Cheating will go the same way as previous single Love Me Again and be form a hatrick of No 1’s.

Cheating and Love Me Again will both appear on Newman’s forthcoming self-titled LP, out on October 14th. Meanwhile take a listen to the brilliant Freemasons remix below:

Mancunian-based singer/songwriter Daley has unveiled the official video to his new single Broken.

The artist, whose career has been showered in praise by many credible journalists and artists alike, is hoping this will help him break ground prior to the release of his forthcoming album Days and Nights later this year.

Daley follows Broken on from his Blueboy-sampling Jessie J duet Remember Me late last year.
