We had high-hopes for this one even before hearing a peep, and the duo haven’t failed to deliver – this one’s an absolute bop. Namechecking Britney Spears and Michael Jackson (among others), Charli and Troye reminisce back to their early years in a cut that’s likely to be on your playlists for a good while yet.

Alessia Cara has released her new single ‘Trust My Lonely’, the follow-up to June’s ‘Growing Pains’.
Set to join its predecessor on Cara’s upcoming second studio album ‘The Pains Of Growing’ (release date TBC), the song follows an initial teaser that dropped over a week back.
Expectations are high for Alessia’s next chapter, particularly after the strong commercial success of her debut album ‘Know-It-All’ (which featured breakout-hit, ‘Here‘); ‘Trust My Lonely’ could be that one cut that brings her back into radio mode and further adds to the hype.

After sharing last month’s Nineteen85-produced buzz track ‘GTFO‘, Mariah Carey has now released ‘With You’, the lead single from her upcoming fifteenth studio album.
Produced by Mustard, the mid-tempo ballad finds Mariah on the love-confession side of life – “Ooh, shots of Remy / Playing Confessions / And our bodies blendin’ / Ooh, I’m in love it’s true / Yeah, damn I fucks with you,” she brings on the chorus.

After a year’s break, today (4th October) marks the first starting-gun for tickets to 2019’s Glastonbury Festival.
Set to kick off at 6pm GMT, tonight’s sale will be for a limited run of 15,000 ‘coach + ticket’ combo packages, and will come ahead of this Sunday’s official release of the final 150,000 ticket-only passes.

Jessie Ware has dropped her first piece of new music since last year’s ‘Glasshouse’ with her new single ‘Overtime’.
The song, produced by Bicep’s Andy Ferguson and Matt McBriar, alongside Simian Mobile Disco’s James Ford, hears Jessie making a welcome return to the dancefloor in a charming hit that’s certainly likely to be a crossover between clubland and the chart world.

Last month, Little Simz shared her new single ‘Offence‘, a roaring track that put her lyrical might front-and-centre.
Today, a fortnight on from the cut’s initial release (alongside the subsequent appearance of follow-up ‘Boss‘), Simz supplies ‘Offence’ with a video, which underpins the song with clever choreography that wouldn’t seem out of place in a Missy Elliott visual.

Ray BLK returned to 1Xtra’s Live Lounge earlier today, performing her excellent recent single ‘Run Run‘ alongside her impeccable cover of Stormzy and MNEK’s ‘Blinded By Your Grace Pt.II’.
Ray had previously teamed up with Stormzy back in 2016, where they channelled their joint love for South London on ‘My Hood’.

New Zealand producer and songwriter BAYNK has teamed up with Sinead Harnett for their new collaboration, ‘Settle’.
Delivering Sinead’s raw vocals across BAYNK’s textured futuretronic-laced beats, the track’s producer speaks of his new partnership with the Londoner, saying “Meeting Sinead for the first time was like seeing a friend I hadn’t seen in 10 years. Catching up about what we’d missed over the years led to settle being written. I didn’t want to overshadow the touching vocal with intense production so I left it minimal and let the words dictate the music. Can’t wait for you all to hear it, Sinead’s voice is incredible.”
Harnett adds, “The first day I met Baynk was the day we wrote settle. As soon as I walked into the room I felt like he was family. I always enjoy those writing sessions the most because you feel comfortable enough to open up. The story behind the song was based on the in between before you’re with someone and after you’ve started seeing each other. That dreaded unknown and the confession that you do want it to move forward. BAYNK’s clean heart translates in his music and I’m so excited for us to do more together!”
The new single is a precursor to an upcoming EP from the NZ producer and a follow-up to a previous double A-side release ‘Be In Love’ / ‘Years,’ which dropped earlier this year.

Icarus have shared their new song, ‘Echoes’, their first piece of all-new music from the duo since their ‘In The Dark‘ EP from earlier in the year.
Set as the lead single off their next EP (set for release later this year), the track is another glistening slice of the duo’s future-laced strive for intoxicating futuretronical – “We wanted to challenge ourselves to write an instrumental track that evokes feelings without the use of any lyrics” say Icarus. “To us it represents a journey, with evolving landscapes and changing colours as the music progresses.”
