Olly Murs has unveiled the official video to his new single Hand on Heart.
Taking strong visual cues from Robbie Williams’ infamous Angels video, Hand on Heart features a cameo from Williams himself. Hand on Heart is taken from the repackaged special edition of Murs’ Right Place Right Time LP, which also features a further six additional tracks.

Justin Timberlake and Mumford and Sons’ Marcus Mumford have teamed up to rework Irish folk song The Auld Triangle for the soundtrack to forthcoming movie Inside Llewyn Davis.
The film, loosely based on 60’s folk icon Dave Van Ronk, tells the story of a folk singer growing up in 1960s New York City.

The Prodigy have been confirmed as headline act for a New Years Eve spectacular at London’s O2 Arena.
The event, also set to feature rising dubstep stars Modestep along with a Rudimental DJ set and Jaguar Skills performance, is set to bring 2014 in with style at the world-recognised music venue.

New York’s Pier 36 played host to the inaugural YouTube Music Awards last night; an event set up to appreciate and reward the best of the web over the past 12 months.
The ceremony, sponsored by car manufacturer Kia Motors, was streamed live globally on YouTube, and also featured performances from pre-show parties from around the world, including Rio, Seoul, Moscow and of course London. Eminem, Lady Gaga and M.I.A. were amongst the performances of the evening, with the former scooping the award for Artist of the Year.
Co-hosted by actor Jason Schwartzman and performance artist/comedian Reggie Watts, the event sought to differentiate itself from other award ceremonies. With irreverence on high agenda, it was only after the show that Schwartzman declared “There were no lines and nothing scripted and we had no idea what was going to happen next,”
What were your thoughts on the ceremony? Were you impressed or do you feel there should have been more in the way of scripts, rehearsals [as has been pointed out a fair amount on Twitter]?

Christina Aguilera has unveiled her duet with US duo A Great Big World on new track Say Something.
The track, a reworking of A Great Big World’s own track, unveiled in September, is a beautiful, heartwarming sad ballad that’s sure to help spearhead Aguilera’s return to making great music again.

British boy band McFly have premiered the official video to their new single Love Is On The Radio.
The track, originally premiered at the band’s 10th Anniversary shows at London’s Royal Albert Hall, is the lead single to be taken from the group’s as-yet-untitled sixth studio album.

Rihanna’s collaboration with Eminem on new track The Monster has denied One Direction the Number One slot in the British Singles Chart, as confirmed by the Official Charts Company.
The song, taken from Eminem’s forthcoming album The Marshall Mathers LP 2, also earned Rihanna a new chart record, becoming the first female artist in British history to score seven Number One singles over seven consecutive years. The only other artist to have achieved this acclaim were Elvis Presley and The Beatles.
The last time the pair released a single together was 2010’s Love The Way You Lie, which went on to become one of the UK’s biggest selling singles of all-time.
In other chart news, last week’s chart topper, Royals by New Zealand singer Lorde, falls one place to Number 2 today, while Fatboy Slim’s Eat Sleep Rave Repeat debuts at Number 3. The Calvin Harris remix of the track, which was neck-and-neck with Eminem and One Direction on Friday, is superstar DJ Norman Cook’s first Top 10 hit since 2001’s double A-side Star 69 / Weapon Of Choice.
One Direction finish the week in fourth place with Story Of My Life, whilst OneRepublic’s former Number 1, Counting Stars, completes this week’s Top 5.
