US rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers have thrown their hats into the ring with a potential appearance at this summer’s Glastonbury Festival.

Coming off the back of their huge world tour last year, the band have long teased their desire to play at Worthy Farm. Overnight (19th January), bassist and founding member Flea added fuel to fire by quoting artist Stanley Donwood’s image of the Pyramid Stage, with a simple “yes”. Donwood is no stranger to Glastonbury – and the music world itself – having been responsible for Radiohead’s vast artwork over the years.

Elton John becomes the sole major act to be confirmed for Glastonbury 2023, with more names expected to be announced over the coming weeks.
