Kasabian have announced a hometown show at Leicester’s Victoria Park, marking their only UK date in 2020.
Set to celebrate six years since their first show at the venue, the 20th June date (which will see Sam Fender on support) will be the band’s first outdoor UK show since their massive Isle of Wight headline set in 2018.
Currently working on new music, the band’s frontman Serge said: “We’re absolutely buzzing to be able to put on Solstice II in our home town of Leicester. Anyone who came last time would know how special it was and to get the opportunity to do it again is beyond a dream”.
The news marks disappointment for Glastonbury fans who hoped the band’s ‘Solstice’ teaser would lead to an appearance at the festival’s 50th anniversary in June.
Tickets go on sale Friday 25th October at 9am; click here for details.
