New York royalty The Knocks drop a dancefloor essential with their groove-filled single ‘No Requests’. Through the last couple years, the duo – consisting of B-Roc and JPatt – have knocked out scores of smooth edits and remixes that circle through elements of electronic, funk and indie pop, but enter back into the club scene with this DJ-focused 4/4 cut to work the floors.
Ramping up the house energy with attitude heavy vocals and filtered loops, The Knocks use smooth-edged acid lines to bring out even more dimension.
Alongside ‘No Requests’, The Knocks have also shared another funk-driven summer jam – ‘New York Luau’, complete with a wobbling bassline and Latin melody for a unique turn of events.
