Blur have announced plans to celebrate 25 years of their seminal album ‘Parklife’ with the release of their 1994 BBC Radio 1 session on vinyl.
Set for release on 2nd August, the 4-track 10″ record will feature performances that the band played in session with Mark Radcliffe back in March 1994, just weeks ahead of the original ‘Parklife’ unveiling the following month. The recordings have previously never been globally available.
Alongside the vinyl, Blur have also announced an anniversary collection of Parklife-era merchandise. Originally designed and available in the 1990s, a host of vintage prints (from the album’s logo to ‘Blur FC’) will also go onsale on 2nd August. Pre-orders are available now via the official Blur website.
