Following a recent run of heartfelt, glistening new tracks (‘System’, ‘Lessons’ and ‘By Myself’), Sinead Harnett has returned with her latest single, ‘Leo Bear’.
Inspired by, and dedicated to, her nephew Leo, the song marks another primer for Sinead’s anticipated full-length album due later this year.
“Whenever I hear it, I choke up because of what it signifies for me”, she explains – “It’s all about how magical life became when he was born. He was very premature, which was a massive shock for his mum and all of us, and we’d never felt a love quite like it before.” Pure and totally stripped-back, ‘Leo Bear’ again shines a spotlight on Sinead’s powerful, personal and emotional songwriting, which has been a defining feature of her recent output.
The accompanying official video, directed by SINEAD herself alongside Rosie Matheson and shot home-video style, offers a candid look inside her life with Leo, taking in days at the park, family time at home and bags of warm, smiley energy.
