Though we still don’t know a huge amount about ‘Guava Island’ – Donald Glover’s upcoming feature film with Rihanna – we do now know when we’ll be able to see it.
Confirmed earlier today, the project, which was teased as far back as last November, will have its premiere as part of YouTube’s live stream of Coachella. Glover, aka Childish Gambino, will headline the festival on Friday, April 12th, and according to leaked ads on Spotify, the film will air the following night. Some online sources are pointing to ‘Guava Island’ being part of a new visual album from Donald Glover, will has previously been confirmed as the final full-length project under his Gambino-moniker.
