The Hermitude story is one marked by stark creative evolution, diversifying music styles and a hunger for constant elevation. Since the early 2000’s, El Gusto and Luke Dubs have been exploring the wide sonic territory both individual and group influences have formed.
Today however, the Australian duo hand over the reigns of their recent ‘Stupid World’ to garner the remix treatment courtesy of Machinedrum. Here, the US producer treats us to another one of his insatiably skippy, liquid-tinged reworks. Taking on an almost junglistic approach to the remix, Machinedrum utilises choppy percussive beats and a warm, low-slung sub-line to refine both Hermitude’s initial beats alongside Bibi Bourelly’s vocals.
