On the day the US go to the polls for their midterm elections, Shawn Mendes and Khalid have joined forces to give their recent collaboration ‘Youth’ some hard-hitting visuals.
Featuring discussions around gun violence and racial injustice (among other important factors), the empowering 7-minute visual showcases around the opportunities that the youth of today have at deciding their future. The video also opens with clips of David Hogg, who survived the Stoneman Douglas High School shooting last year, deliver the poignant line – “If you listen real close, you can hear the people in power shaking.”
