Nottingham’s Liam Bailey has teamed up with Maverick Sabre to give their new collaboration ‘Brother, Why You Gotta Love Her’ some visuals.
Directed by James Beale, who helmed the visuals for Temples’ ‘Strange Or Be Forgotten’ and Lion’s ‘Self Control’ video, and has also worked with adidas, Meadowlark and River Island, among others, the new video for ‘Brother, Why You Gotta Love Her’ perfectly capture the genuine friendship between Liam and Maverick, as they brood over walking away from a toxic relationship.
“The video was inspired by my friendship with Maverick” says Liam – “We’ve seen a lot of pubs, brandy glasses and shared a few stories over the bar. I think Mav was into the idea of doing the video in an Old Miners Welfare but we settled for Catford Constitutional Club instead”.
‘Brother, Why You Gotta Love Her’ is the first taste of Liam Bailey’s forthcoming fourth studio EP, set to be released on November 9, and is the soul star’s first project since his critically acclaimed 2014 album ‘Definitely Now’.
