Though in his late-40s, Manfredi Romano is still pretty new to the production scene, particularly when it comes to making music for the club circuit. But delivering the pure definition of “age is nothing but a number”, the Italian music-maker seems to be acing everything he’s touching of late, and today that ethos continues with his spellbinding rework of Maribou State and Holly Walker’s ‘Nervous Tics’.
Appearing under Romano’s DJ Tennis moniker (a name he used when he played parties at his local tennis club), the new remix follows on from last month’s Marco Plex edit. And whilst Plex’s rework gave a more frantic outlook to the ‘Kingdoms In Colour’ cut, DJ Tennis’s interpretation remains true to the original, sharing something for the more murky realms of post-3am clubland (coupled with a pretty spectacular breakdown just over halfway through).
