Titled ‘I Could Never’, the song is as stripped-back as ballads can be – based around a sombre piano riff, the cut delivers an earnest Drake, before slowly picking up the pace courtesy of distorted electric guitar sonics toward the chorus. Jorja then cuts in half-way with her own opened heart, replying to Drake’s sad opener with “could you ever be ashamed of me?”.
