Jay Z and Kanye West’s ‘Watch The Throne’ returns to Spotify

Jay Z and Kanye West’s 2011 collaborative album ‘Watch The Throne’ has returned to Spotify after being removed from the service over a year ago.

Returning without any fanfare (thanks to the tip-off for alerting us, though), the re-appearance of the now-classic project follows last year’s approach from Jay Z which saw him wipe a huge amount of his back-catalogue from all streaming platforms in a bid to bolster subscriptions to his TIDAL service.

At the time, Spotify said the removal was “at the request of the artist”; the platform has not released a press statement on the record’s return. However ‘Watch The Throne’ still remains as one of the few Jay Z albums available on Spotify; Kanye West’s discography however can be listened to in its full glory.
