Ray BLK has announced her new single ‘Run Run’.
Revealed as Annie Mac’s latest BBC Radio 1 ‘Hottest Record’, the track follows days of teasing by the Catford-raised artist, and comes alongside a powerful new Tom Green-directed video.
“Run Run draws on two real life stories that I’ve actually experienced” says BLK – “The first, about a guy with a gun at a party. That always resonated with me. The second, about a robbery in my own home when my mum was still in the house”. Of the visual, the Ray adds the video “[has been my] favourite to date because of the meaning behind it. These communities affected by crime and poverty need more attention and assistance from the government to really create change and I hope this video sparks more conversation around how we can all help”.
