All Points East organisers have added a further 38 names to this year’s line-up, alongside revealing their impressive staging splits.

Joining the lineup are Belgian electro heroes Soulwax alongside house and hip-hop fuser Yaeji, renowned British dance duo Maribou State, future star of UK hip hop Jesse James Solomon and Tel Aviv post-punkers Bones Garage. Additional sets also include appearances from Kelela, Abra, Daft Punk-produced Aussies Parcels, French duo Her, Drake-championed London rapper Octavian and NTS resident DJ DEBONAI.

From a staging point of view, organisers have also announced their new site concepts:

The X Stage is an ambitious, new ‘in the round’ festival experience placing the finest electronic talent in the heart of the action and enveloping the crowd in sound from all angles. The stage will host performances from huge names including The Black Madonna, Omar-S, Hunee, Mr G, Roman Flugel and DJ Tennis. By putting the performances into the heart of the audience, the DJs and fans both become the centrepiece of the structure. Utilising a multi-point source audio system with each leg of the structure housing inward facing speaker configurations, the stage will deliver a truly immersive audio experience.

The East Stage, the main stage at All Points East is framed by full-height state of the art screens to allow the best possible viewing experience for fans, no matter where they are positioned in the main arena. With 60 moving lights, plus incoming artist productions, the fan experience is further enhanced by the most advanced speaker system in the UK, the Martin Multi-Cellular Loudspeaker Array (MLA), ensuring the optimum audio experience for all guests.

The West Stage is the main indoor performance space at All Points East and houses state-of-the-art lighting comprising 97 moving lights and another 50 generic lights on stage and throughout the venue. The space boasts Outline GTO, an arena level audio system that you would expect in world class arenas including the O2. Hosting artists including Justice and Flying Lotus 3D who will be adding their own widely acclaimed and immersive production, the stage is a must visit.

The North Stage, inspired by many of the world’s most beautiful theatres, is formed of concentric arches and 50 moving lights that will provide a visually stunning backdrop to all artists performing there. Like the East Stage, the structure will feature a Martin Multi-Cellular Loudspeaker Array (MLA) system, providing guests with world class audio and a truly unforgettable fan experience.

James King, Festival Director says:

“Every stage at All Points East is designed to offer fans a different experience wherever they are on the site and at whatever time of the day it may be. Lighting and video are essential to delivering an ever changing and evolving production and live experience. We want the stages to feel unique for every performance so the artists can deliver their own personal vision to their fans, making each set stand out from the last. To achieve this the East Stage will host a large scale LED screen setup to provide a huge canvas for each artist to deliver their own look and bespoke feel supporting their live performance. The North stage takes inspiration for many of the world’s greatest theatres where concentric arches help achieve lighting spectacles rarely seen outdoors.

The West Stage is simply a full on indoor immersive production set up where large scale lighting and LED combine with great sound and a break from the sun. The X Stage is a new exciting design specifically created for All Posts East. We wanted one of the best quad based systems in the world to deliver a sound field much like the very best clubs did back in the day.

These 4 stages are just the start. The great thing is, there is more to come….”
