This coming December, you’d likely be hard-pressed not to find Troye Sivan’s ‘My My My’ appear on any of the ‘Best of 2018’ lists. Granted we still have 9 months to go, and the lead single from Troye’s new record dropped in January, but even 8 weeks on it’s difficult to see it being shelved out of the Top 10 spot in the pop listings.
The song itself also saw something of a ‘coming together’ by many of the non-pop music sites out there (including us) – even the specialists blogs remarked at the track’s brilliance, and it’s probably the inviting aspect of the joint that’s led to this surprise new remix courtesy of Hot Chip. As you’d expect from Joe Goddard and co, this rework is something for the weekend, though sidelining the dancefloors toward more of a post-clubland / 3am soundtrack.
