James Blake returns with ‘If The Car Beside You Moves Ahead’

James Blake has shared his first piece of original material since 2016’s ‘The Colour in Anything’, announcing his surprise new single ‘If The Car Besides You Moves Ahead’.

Premiered during the first episode of his returning slot for Radio 1’s Residency series, the haunting, pitch-skewed track is more ‘experimental Blake’ versus some of the stripped-back sonics we became accustomed to during his last studio outing.

Toward the end of last year, James used his US tour to premiere even more unreleased music, including new songs ‘Can’t Believe The Way We Flow’, ‘Asking For A Friend’ and ‘Black Lung’; at this rate we can assume an album won’t be too far away.
