Australian duo Peking Duk rarely jump on the remix-front (their last big rework was over four years ago, courtesy of Passion Pit’s ‘Take A Walk’), however today they’ve decided to give some neighbourly loving to New Zealand’s Lorde, breaking down her recent Perfect Places.
Keeping Lorde’s unmistakeable smooth vocals in the forefront, Canberra-raised Adam Hyde and Reuben Styles supplement the non-linear back-track with one of their infamous sweeping buildups, morphing the Melodrama closer into a perfectly-exciting disjointed version of the original’s ‘post-party’ cruel vision of reality.
