It’s hard to believe it’s been well over six years since MJ Cole dropped his magic across a Chase & Status joint. Back in 2011, the UKG supremo reworked Saul and Will’s Blind Faith, and since then, it’s fair to say both parties have been more than hectic enough to find the time to reunite.
However today comes something equally as magical, with Cole throwing his might over the lads’ recent Emeli Sande-collab, Love Me More. The original, which appears on the duo’s upcoming record Tribe (out this Friday) is as anthemic as they come, however MJ’s edit slicks things back to late-90s era, where 2-step ruled the roost in the land of underground sonics. Emeli’s vocals gets more than their fair share of distortions, and it works, well, just blissfully.
