Perhaps it’s because Turn Me Out provided much of our summer 2013 soundtrack, but for us, Russ Chimes seems completely synonymous with this time of year.
Over the course of his illustrious 7 (or so) years on the scene, the Londoner has delivered a hefty amount of self-penned bangers to go with his vast repertoire of remixes, and today he follows up his early-2017 Drift by announcing his all-new Clara EP, alongside the lead joint, the dazzling Wildflower.
This one’s simply flawless – an almost acid-house esque early-90s piano-ladden groove supported by some smartly-tuned vocal distortions. Effectively, if Turn Me Out smashed 2013, then Wildflower could well be the backdrop for this summer too.
Catch Wildflower below; Clara drops tomorrow on Russ’ Uno Mas Records imprint.
