Glastonbury Festival has [unsurprisingly] walked away with the Festival Of The Year gong at this year’s Music Week Awards.
Announced moments ago, both Michael & Emily Eavis were on-hand at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel to accept the award from 6Music’s Lauren Lavern, with Michael cheerfully adding “We’ve been at it for 47 years and we’re still winning, isn’t that great!”.
Other winners on the night have so far included Spotify (Best Music Retailer/Streaming Platform), BBC 6Music (Best Radio Station) and Radio 1’s Mistajam (Best Radio Show).
Earlier today, Emily Eavis confirmed Boy Better Know as the first act to headline the Other Stage at this summer’s Glastonbury; you can read more on that story here.
