Boy Better Know have been revealed as one of the Other Stage headliners for this summer’s Glastonbury Festival, organiser Emily Eavis has confirmed.
Speaking to NME, Eavis said that the grime movement “feels like punk”, whilst sharing the news of the Other Stage appointment by saying “Stormzy, Skepta, Boy Better Know – it’s going to be great for grime,“.
Eavis added “We were showing the world and leading the day in that genre [at the NME Awards]. Everybody’s listening, even the Americans. It felt like we were witnessing something really exciting and fresh and the whole scene has kind of shifted. Grime has entered our lives in such a big way and it’s brilliant that we’re representing that as much as possible.”
With Wiley also confirmed to appear at Glastonbury this summer, it’s highly likely he’ll be joining BBK onstage too, plus let’s not forget that Drake signed to BBK last year…. so no doubt the rumour mill will run wild on this one!
