Beyonce and Skepta lead the nominations charge at NME Awards

Beyonce’s LEMONADE leads the pack of nominations for next month’s NME Awards, organisers have confirmed. Up for five gongs, including ‘Best International Female’ and ‘Best Video’ (for Formation), Beyonce is also up against Skepta for ‘Music Moment Of The Year’, the latter nominated for a further three awards including ‘Best Album’ and ‘Best British Male’, a category which also includes fellow Mercury Prize-nominees Kano and Michael Kiwanuka.

Meanwhile, ‘Best Album’ will also see Skep go head-to-head with Kanye West’s The Life Of Pablo and The 1975’s I Like It When You Sleep, For You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware Of It.

Unsprisingly, Glastonbury Festival will face Reading & Leeds, Isle of Wight and Primavera (among others) in the ‘Best Festival’ category, with Coldplay and Adele both falling under ‘Best Festival Headliner’.
