Gorillaz fans may have noticed a slew of social media activity over the past few weeks, some of which citing clues as to when we’ll finally hear some new music; and whilst Damon Albarn recently confirmed a new album will land in 2017, there’s every possible chance of some new music drop sooner… In fact, it seems we could actually be hearing the first excerpt from their new project this weekend, thanks to a teaser from Gorillaz member Noodle.
The guitarist’s most-recent Instagram post reveals an ink pattern formulated from Soulection’s logo, a show now broadcast weekly on Beats 1. This weekend’s show will be fronted by Gilles Peterson, and it looks like this could be the time we find out what Albarn and co have all been working on.
