Back in April, Lido shared Crazy, the first single from his anticipated debut album Everything. Arriving less than a week after he reimagined Kanye’s The Life Of Pablo, Crazy looked set to get kick off the PR machine for the new album, however since then, things have gone pretty quiet.
Fear no more though for the young Norwegian has return, this time with Murder, a track which looks set to shape how the rest of the album will pan out. “‘Murder’ is the beginning of the story and a good example of how the storytelling of the album works,” Lido says in his recent interview with Complex, adding “It’s the breakup, so there’s a lot of tension and release in the song. The vocal is chopped to sound nervous and stuttering before the words finally come out in the second verse, followed by an emotional chaos of a ‘drop’ when the breakup has happened and then the sad anti-climax of silence portrayed by a 80-piece orchestra we recorded in Norway.”
