The past year or so, we’ve been kinda feeling that deep-tropical house has no longer been offering the levels of excitement it once did in the genre’s hayday; things have sounded so ‘samey’ of late that lately it’s started to become an offshoot we’ve been trying to avoid versus throw our attentions toward.
Today however, Dutch duo The Him have dropped a joint that, whilst blurring the lines between futuretronica and tropical house, adds a complete breath of fresh air into the soundscape. Their new single Balance, a tie-up with emerging US artist Oktavian, has been on loop for a good few hours, and it’s still not showing any signs of tire.
