Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn has cancelled his appearance at Glastonbury Festival, understood as a result of today’s UK / EU exit referendum.
Whilst reasons have yet to be officially confirmed by the Labour Party or Corbyn’s team (we’d assume they probably have bigger fish to fry based on the ‘Brexit’ result), the MP is currently under pressure by the rest of the Labour Party to resign in the wake of the political disaster, with the Press Association commenting Corbyn was “focusing on the issues thrown up by the momentous”
Corbyn, who sided with the ‘Remain’ camp, was due to appear at Glastonbury’s Left Field on Sunday in an event called Jez We Can: Jeremy Corbyn In Conversation.
